Perpetual Supplica

This devotion is inspired by the request made by Our Lady Herself in
Bl. Anne Catherine Emmerich’s Vision of

August 25, 1822: “I know not now how I went to Rome last night, but I found myself near the church of Santa Maria Maggiore. Around it I saw crowds of poor, pious souls, in great distress and anxiety on account of the Pope’s disappearance and the agitation and alarming reports throughout the city. Led by one common impulse, they had come to invoke the Mother of God. They did not expect to find the church open, they intended only to pray outside. But I was inside, I opened the door and they entered, astounded at the door’s opening of itself. I was standing aloof where they could not see me. There was no service, only the chancel-lamps were burning, and the people knelt in quiet prayer. Then the Mother of God appeared. She said that great tribulations were at hand; that the people must pray earnestly with extended arms, if only for the length of three Our Fathers, for it was thus that her Son had prayed for them upon the Cross; that they should rise at midnight to pray thus; that they should continue to come to Her church which they would always find open; and that they should, above all, pray for the extirpation of the Church of Darkness. … I know not whether the people saw the apparition or not, but they must have been impressed by something supernatural for, when the Blessed Virgin said they should pray to God with arms extended, all lifted up their arms … It seemed to be an association of prayer.” From this time Sister Emmerich assisted nightly at the pious exercises at Santa Maria Maggiore. International Council of Jurists accuses China of planning Bio-Warfare attack on whole world

by Br. Alexis Bugnolo

Dr. Adish C. Aggarwala, President of the International Council of Jurists (London) and Chairman of the All India Bar Association has filed a human rights complaint with the Human Rights Council, of the United Nations, at Geneva, Switzerland, against the People’s Republic of China, the Chinese Military and the Wuhan Institute of Virology, for their responsibility in creating, deploying, dispersing and failure to stop the spread of the Wuhan Virus, aka, COVID-19 in China and throughout the world.

This legal filing follows the action by Freedom Watch in filing a Federal lawsuit in the United States of America against China over civil damages resulting from the Wuhan virus, and which seeks 20 Trillion Dollars USD in damages.

The International Council of Jurists is an international professional association headquartered at 134, Buckingham Palace Road, London (UK), and whose Secretary General is Ahmed Faiz. Their website, of which the Featured Image used in this article is as screen shot, is found at link at Wikipedia is incorrect).

The All India Bar Association (website: is an Association of Lawyers, headquartered in Dampier Nagar, Mathura, India.

Dr. Aggarwala, the President of the former and Chairman of the latter, has filed a 27 page legal brief which details every failure of responsibility and complicity in the violation of numerous international accords and agreements.

I will quote here, only one section, that which regards the fifth allegation, which begins on p. 24, that COVID-19 is an Act of Biological warfare against humanity. What follows is a direct quotation from the legal brief:

5. COVID-19 is a Bio-Weapon created in Wuhan

The Chinese government has meticulously planned the execution and spread of the Novel Coronavirus and the same can be inferred in the way China has taken regard of the situation as also of the curious case of the spread of the virus all over the world. As pointed earlier, it remains a mystery as to how the virus has not spread in all provinces of China but at the same time, has spread to all countries in the world.

According to an ET Prime Report, a group of Chinese scientists in Canada were accused of spying and were stripped of their access to Canada‟s National Microbiology Lab, sometime in August 2019 and the said lab is known to contain some of the world‟s deadliest pathogens. These scientists then were sent to a High security biochemical Wuhan Lab, which is one of the world‟s most heavily guarded labs. That these scientists later developed the COVID-19 virus and released it to the outside world somewhere in the early days of December 2019 in Wuhan, from where the virus spread. (as reported in the Economic Times article (dated February 11, 2020):

The purpose of developing such a potent and deadly virus remains a secret. However, there are solid evidences to show that the Chinese government intends to utilize the same to take control of the world‟s economy. The hypothesis of biological warfare behind the global pandemic had already been raised by Russian experts some weeks ago.

Like any opinion that is slightly different from the official version of Western governments and their media agencies, the thesis was ridiculed and accused of being a “conspiracy theory”. However, as soon as the official spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the second largest economic power on the planet publishes a note attesting to this possibility, it leaves the sphere of “conspiracy theories” to enter the scene
of public opinion and official government versions.

In addition to making the explanation of biological warfare official, Zhao Lijian raised important questions about the pandemic data in the USA: “When did patient zero begin in US? How many people are infected? What are the names of the hospitals? It might be US army who brought the epidemic to Wuhan. Be transparent! Make public your data! US owe us an explanation!”

The supreme leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Ayatollah Khomeini, ordered on the same day of the declaration of the Chinese Ministry the creation of a unified center of scientific research specialized in the fight against the Coronavirus. The motivation, according to the Iranian spiritual and political leader, was motivated by evidence that the pandemic is a biological attack. These are his words:

“The establishment of a headquarters to fight the outbreak [of COVID-19] occurs due to the presence of evidence that indicates the possibility of a biological attack, signaling that it is necessary that all coping services [to the coronavirus] be under the command of a unified headquarters”.

These speculations only increase the likelihood of the COIVD-19 being a carefully assembled biological weapon, aimed at crippling major countries in the world leaving only China as the beneficiary.

You have to chose one of these three…

by Br. Alexis Bugnolo

If you have the faith which can see and the honesty and sincerity to admit, that Bergoglio is a heretic, blasphemer, idolater, apostate and schismatic, then you are forced to chose one of three possibilities.

Because it is written in Scripture, that Christ said of Peter and His successors:

Simon, Simon, Satan has desired to sift you all as wheat, but I have prayed for thee, that thy faith may never fail. (Luke 22:31)

So, there is only 3 possibilities:

  1. Christ Jesus is impotent: that is His prayer is not all powerful.
  2. Christ Jesus is a liar: that is, He did not remain faithful to His promise to pray.
  3. Bergoglio never was the Successor of Saint Peter, because of some canonical error or fact.

Which do you choose?

Saint Bonaventure, on the Trinity — translated by Br. Bugnolo

One of the great works of Catholic literature ever attempted, and certainly the greatest work of Catholic Theology on the Most Holy Trinity, Saint Bonaventure of Bagnoregio’s Commentaries on the First Book of the Sentences of Master Peter Lombard: On the One and Triune God is certainly a book for the ages and a book which merits its place on the bookshelf of every Catholic family and institution.

Layout 1
Actual Book Cover: click to know more about this book.

Saint Bonaventure of Bagnoregio was born Giovanni Fidanza, at Civita di Bagnoregio on the northern confines of the Papal States around 1217 A.D., just as decade or so after Saint Francis of Assisi had founded his order of Friars Minor. Raised by his father, the town doctor, with the finest education money could buy locally, he was sent by his father to the University of Paris to study medicine. There, he studied logic and philosophy under the greatest Scholastic masters of the day, and followed them into the Order of Saint Francis, when they took the habit in admiration of the evangelical perfection of the Saint. He thereupon took the name given to him by his mother, as a child, when having fallen into a grave fever, she asked Saint Francis to cure her son, and upon the miracle, exclaimed:  Che bonaventura! that is, what a good outcome!

Marvelous for both his erudition and personal sanctity, Friar Bonaventure studied under the renowned medieval philosopher Alexander of Hales, was ordained a priest and after Alexander’s untimely death, went on to study for a doctorate in theology, which in those days, was called the Magister Sententiarum, a Master of the Sentences of Peter Lombard, the  name of the text book used in theology at the University of Paris since the 1220’s.

From 1250 to 1252, to obtain his doctorate, Saint Bonaventure lectured upon and wrote his commentaries on the First Book of Lombard, which discusses the One and Triune God, the Mystery of the Most Holy Trinity, an argument which in modern seminaries is dispensed with in one semester or in passing, which explains not a little why the clergy of today lack such a sense of the sacred, if they can even explain the things of God correctly, which is usually not the case.

Now more than ever, when the apostasy of the clergy is nearly universal, the Catholic layman or laywoman has a greater necessity to defend their souls and their faith by informing themselves and relying upon the very best sources of doctrine and spirituality.

Br. Bugnolo, working on his translation in 2013, at his desk here at Rome.

To assist them in this and to open up to modern man and to the English speaking world the riches of wisdom and doctrine which God gave to Saint Bonaventure, Br. Bugnolo spent 12 years translating the works of Saint Bonaventure in a study which was nearly unending. So far he has translated Bonaventure’s Commentaries on the First Three Book of Lombard, more than 3000 pages of Latin text, or the equivalent of 18,000 pages of letter sized sheets.

Published in 2014, Br. Bugnolo’s English translation of Saint Bonaventure’s Commentaria in Quatuor Libros Sententiarum soon was recognized as the most authoritative modern translation of the work, and is in fact the first complete vernacular translation of Bonaventure’s Commentary ever published in any language in 800 years. Dr. Claudio Mayeregger of the Fundacion, Santa Ana, Argentina, was so impressed he wrote a public letter of commendation on the work.

In Italy, Corona Control results in persecution of the Catholic Religion

by Br. Alexis Bugnolo

With the flick of the switch, Italy has moved from one of the countries where the Catholic Faith enjoyed the greatest civil liberty to a nation with more persecution than Marxist China. To merely list the stories of the outrageous things happening is sufficient to show how the so-called stay-at-home decrees implemented by an illegal Decree of the President of the Council of Ministers (the Italian Prime Minister) at request of the World Health Organization, are not about preventing the spread of the virus which apparently kills no one but those already sick, but about suppressing the Catholic religion completely.

Don Domenic Cirigliano, pastor of Rocca Imperiale, decided to do what he could to give his parishioners some comfort, seeing that the Decrees forbade him to distribute the Sacraments. So he carried a large Crucifix — in which in 1691 human blood miraculously gushed forth from the wounds of the image of Christ — through the streets of the town and blessed the homes of the faithful as he passed. The Police fined him 400 Euros and the Mayor put him under house arrest for 2 weeks! He was officially charged with inciting a procession, because some faithful followed at a distance behind him, during his walk through the town with the Cross!

Don Cirigliano is a great priest. As an example to all of Italy, he has publicly stated that he will not pay the fine! When asked why he thinks he was fined, he said, “They want to fine the Church!”

On March 25, the pastors of four parishes and the Mayor of Giulianova held Mass at the Sanctuary of Our Lady of the Splendor, and afterwards the Mayor consecrated his city to the Blessed Virgin. All the rules for social distancing were observed and the event was televised to 4000 residents. There were less than 10 persons present. The next day, those participating in the Mass were informed that they had been denounced to the local Prosecutor who was opening a misdemeanor case against each of them, including the Mayor!

But by far the worse outrage so far, was the sacrilege of the Mass at the Parish of Saint Francis of Assisi in Civitavecchia: a large church build in the round, below the town in a residential quarter for upper scale housing. The Mass was broadcast on live streaming and the faithful gathered in small numbers on their own initiative outside the Church looking through the open doors. The Mayor, as soon as he knew of it, ordered the police to break it up. So two officers of the city police entered the Church in violation of the Lateran Pact and arrested the priest as he sat in the Sanctuary, even though he had violated no aspect of the Decrees for Coronavirus. — However, later it came to the fore, that the Mayor is a radical pro LGBT advocate and had battled with the priest for years over the issue. He apparently saw his opportunity to take vendetta and he did.

Baron Tschuggül & Dr. Marshall better stay clear of Italy

by Br. Alexis Bugnolo

In October, the Catholic world was witness two 2 extraordinary events: one revolting and one inspiring.  The one revolting was Bergoglio’s adoration of pagan idols in the Vatican Gardens, on October 4, 2019 and the reverence he and many others showed them in Saint Peter’s Basilica, the Sunday following. The one inspiring, was the clandestine snatching of 5 idols of Pachamama from the Church in the Transtevere, on Monday Morning, October 22, by unknown Catholic men.

The scene was video taped and edited.

Here is the video.

The video was a multimedia sensation, being viewed by more than 200,000 individuals world wide.

Subsequently, the Baron Alexander von Tschuggül admitted to be one of the key perpetrators. He was universally praised for the heroism and faith displayed in this historic act of Catholic counter-apostasy. Here is the video of his confession:

On March 27, Dr. Taylor Marshall admitted he participated in the planning and funding of the deed. He now admits to be the editor of the Part II narration of the event, which editing was done very well, in my opinion. Here is that video.

Some are praising Dr. Marshall for being a protagonist. Others are condemning him for orchestrating a media event. Some because he financed it, but mostly because of his mental reservation or deception — depending on what point of view you take — in publicizing the Pachamama snatching after the fact.

While, from my training an anthropology and archeology, I see value in preserving ancient artifacts, even if they be idols, because their conservation in a museum, where they are no longer worshiped, helps understand human history, I agree with the Saints and Scripture, that an idol used in a house of God for the worship of a demon, should be removed and can licitly be destroyed or disposed of.

However, while that is the teaching of the Saints, it is not the law in Italy, which has a secular constitution and is a masonic state.

In Italy, the theft or destruction of private property is a crime. And worse, the collaboration or conspiracy to engage in the theft or destruction of private property is a special kind of crime, called associazione a delinquere. We would call it organized crime, in English.

And it is punished in the Italian penal code, Article 416, with imprisonment for 3 to 7 years. Solely for participating in the conspiracy, but not in the crime of theft or destruction of property, the punishment is 1 to 5 years imprisonment. If committed in violation of immigration laws by foreigners, the punishment is 5 to 15 years.

So, my humble advice to the Baron and Doctor, is this: lawyer up and plan on taking your vacations to some other country, than Italy, for quite some time, as, if you should enter Italy, you might be arrested on the spot for criminal conspiracy, now that you have publicly admitted to the crime in all its particulars.

Also, if the Italian government wants to be nasty, they can ask your native countries to extradite you to Italy, so be prepared to fight extradition requests.

But, for my part, I say, God bless you for your good work.

The Rights and Duty of Catholics to bear arms

by Br. Alexis Bugnolo

Our Lord Jesus Christ teaches explicitly that Christians have the right to bear arms. Nay, He not only teaches we have a right, He instructs us that it is our duty. He does this on the very night He was betrayed by Judas Iscariot, so as to teach us not to misinterpret His willingness to be Crucified, as an unreasonable renunciation of natural right to self defense or unreasonable submission to unjust authority.

The words of Our Most High and Divine Lord are these, and you find them in the Gospel of Saint Luke, chapter 22, verse 36: I quote from the Douay Rheims translation of the Clementine Vulgate:

But now he that hath a purse, let him take it, and likewise a scrip; and he that hath not, let him sell his coat, and buy a sword.

These words, Our Lord said to the Apostles. Thus they are understood immediately in reference to the Sacred Hierarchy, that they have the right to defend themselves and thus to bear arms. But by extension, since Christ’s sacred representatives should be men of peace and reconciliation, if they have the right and duty to bear arms, then all the more so, all other members of the Church.

This is not why the Church is called the Church Militant. That title refers to our spiritual struggle against the forces of darkness, which as Saint Paul reminds us, are spirits not men.

But this is why, we need to understand rightly how much true Catholic doctrine differs from what the Marxists and Secularists want us to understand it to be. Indeed, the fear non-Christians have of these words of Jesus is evident over at Wikipedia, which has an entire article on Luke 22:36 to attempt to convince you to be a pacifist and interpret the words of Jesus as not having to do with physical armaments. And they laughably try to convince you that Pope Boniface VIII would support such an idea.

The Natural Right to bear arms

Every living thing has the right to defend it’s life. This is a law of nature. It is said to be a law because it is in the very order of the created world, that we can see that living organisms defend themselves. Since non-rational beings cannot sin, their self defense cannot be a sin. And since God endowed them with a means of and or instinct for self-defense, their doing so must be part of the law which He wrote in the natural order of things.

Consequently, since man is a rational being capable of artifice, he can make tools and instruments for self-defense and use them for that purpose. Thus every man, as an individual, has the right to make and bear arms.

I will speak, below, about bearing arms, for brevity sake, but please understand me in regard to the manufacture, bearing and use of arms, since the right or duty to each implies the duty or right to each.

The Natural Duty to bear arms

Every individual human being lives by the gift of God, the Author of all life. This gift of life is a gift, and thus must be protected. We cannot licitly ignore this duty. Thus every individual human being, has not only the right to self defense but the duty to defend himself. And when this requires the use of arms, he does well to use them and is obliged to use them, except in those cases where to testify to the faith, he submits to those who hate Christ so as to win the crown of Martyrdom. Yet this is by special inspiration, not something to be sought out. Because to be a Martyr you have to be willing to forgive your enemies who put you to death. And that is a very rare grace among those who are unjustly put to death.

This duty becomes even more obligatory when a human being has the duty to protect others, such as children, parents, the weak or the innocent who are defenseless. It is also a graver duty when the society to which one belongs is threatened as a community. Because according to the natural law we owe collaboration in self defense of our own, by ties of affinity, blood, society, and alliances.

The Divine Right and Duty of Christians to Bear arms

A Christian, therefore, on account of his membership in the Mystical Body of Christ, by Baptism, is bound to defend not only his own life, but the lives and faith of all Christians, when they are threatened unjustly or out of hatred to the Faith or out of hatred of Christ. This is a fundamental duty of the Communion of Saints here on Earth.

While many Catholics have strong habits of prayer for fellow Catholics and Christians who are persecuted, few of us realize that our duty goes much beyond prayer.

For this reason, the right and duty to bear arms for Catholics regards himself, his family, his relatives, his parishioners, all Catholics everywhere, the Church, the clergy, and all who are persecuted out of hatred of Jesus Christ.

For this reason, it is more accurate to speak of the Rights and Duty, than of the right and duty, because by Faith and the teaching of Our Lord, this Duty encompases many persons and therefore the right to act in each case has its own species of justification.

Those who deny that Catholics have the right and duty to bear and use and manufacture arms are simply heretics, and should be regarded as such, because they deny the teaching of Our Lord Jesus Christ. They should also be regarded as cowards and mad, since they are attempting to counter common sense and subject the Church to the wicked of this world.

When to exercise your Rights and fulfill your Duty

The right and duty to self defense obviously exist at all times, but the actions which flow to fulfill or execute this right and duty arises only when a threat is perceived.

It is important to note that I say, when a threat is perceived, not when a threat arises. This is because when a threat arises, there may not be time sufficient to procure the instruments of your self defense. Of course one must use this principle sanely. A paranoid can certainly fear many things to excess and build himself a military bunker and arm himself to the teeth and think he is justified in that. But his excessive fear causes him to go to an excess, which may actually be dangerous to himself or others, financially as well as physically, even if it must be conceded that he is not acting without or in violation of his rights or in neglect of his duty.

The use of arms, however, can only be in accord with one’s rights and duty when the threat exists and when the use is capable to thwarting the threat and when it is required to do so.

Thus, in times in which the civil authorities or the State are sufficiently controlling the threat against oneself or ones family or the innocent, a private individual has no necessity to resort to the use of arms. But when the government fails in this, or when the civil authorities themselves threaten the lives or liberty of the individual or public or the Church, then an individual and indeed the whole society has the right to use and organize for the use of such rights.

Indeed, it becomes the grave duty of everyone to resist their own enslavement or their persecution for being Catholic or acting or worshiping as a Catholic. For this reason, the mere fact that the leaders of your nation are your legitimate rulers, by law, does not give them the right to enslave you. And any attempt to do so is a grave and imminent threat.

Just War Theory

Under the name, “Just War theory”, Catholics for centuries have discussed the moral question of when it is licit for a sovereign power to begin hostilities. There has to exist a just motive: that is a grave threat of hostilities or the grave violation of the order of justice, already perpetrated. There has to be a good probability of victory. There has to be due use of force, not excessive nor insufficient, directed against combatants, not the civilian population. The Moral Law must be observed in all matters during the conduct of hostilities.

Unlike secular concepts of just war, the Catholic concept allows for pre-emptory actions, because the purpose of a just war, in Catholic teaching, is to restore the order of justice, and as soon as unjust men begin to prepare for war, a Catholic power can intervene to reduce them to submission, because it is never just that unjust men bear arms capable of harming others. Obviously, in such cases, prior unjust actions must have been perpetrated.

But just war theory in Catholic teaching requires a complete understanding of that in which justice consists, for it is easy to justify an action on the basis of a partial review of information, facts, motives or goals. For this reason, while non-Catholic nations are capable of engaging in just wars, they often fail to do so justly, because they ignore the teachings of Jesus Christ in principle and a priori, that is, before all other considerations are made.

For this reason, Catholic teaching would disagree fundamentally with many of the so-called Rules of Engagement used against terrorists. We can see this in the decision by Pope Sixtus V to put to death 5,000 individuals as brigands, who were found in the possession of arms, on Papal roads, after, inan extraordinary decree to suppress brigandage, he forbade under pain of death the bearing of arms on the road. His ban was only for a time, but during that time all who violated were arrested and executed as brigands. Thus, we can see from this example, that sufficient advance notice to all is sufficient grounds to regard those bearing arms in a war zone or terrorist zone, as combatants. An actual, live use of force is not the only rational basis to determine a threat.

Moreover, there can be just wars even by Catholic powers against Catholic powers, not because our Faith has nothing to do with war, but because being Catholic does not guarantee that you are just in all things. Likewise, there can be just wars by a Catholic power to a rebellious province or region, when that rebellion threatens the Catholic Faith or the stability of the state, and is not based on just cause but on brigandage and treachery.

Finally, I have written this essay for the edification of the faithful, not because I am either in favor or opposed to the use of arms, but simply because it is a topic upon which nearly no clergy speak, and in which so many clergy speak contrary to the teaching of Jesus Christ, or against the natural law.

China & Vatican exchange medical supplies

by Br. Alexis Bugnolo

During the so-called Corona pandemic, the Vatican and China have engaged in a curious exchange of medical supplies.

According to reports, the Vatican sent 700,000 medical masks to China. According to this shipment was sent in February, and a tenth of those masks were designated for the people of the Wenzhou Diocese, which is governed by a Catholic Bishop, not by a government-approved bishop, Mons. Peter Shao Zhumin, who was nominated by Pope Benedict XVI and consecrated in 2011., however, reports that the medical masks were shipped to China by the Vatican Pharmacy, but were donated by the Chinese Catholics of Italy. The collection began on January 27. They were shipped from Fumicino Airport, here in Rome, bearing the seal of the Papal Almsgiver.

The need for the shipment was not clear, since according to Il Fatto Quotidiano, more than 50% of all medical masks manufactured in the world, are made in China.

Mons. Peter Shao Zhumin, then called upon the faithful of his diocese to return the favor. This was also done in many dioceses throughout the People’s Republic of China and in Hong Kong. You can see a photograph of him in the Featured Image of this article. Bishop Shao Zhumin is 57 years of age.

Then, on April 1, there arrived from China, 100,000 medical masks, according to The Catholic Charity organizing the shipment is Jinde Charities (Ed. Note: Warning, this link goes to a server in the PRC), founded by Father John Baptist Zhan. is reporting that the value of the masks and equipment sent from China, by Jinde Charities, amounted to 450,000 Euros. The shipment which was sent from China to Milan, by plane, was stored in the warehouses of Caritas Ambrosiana, at Milan, before being distributed to hospitals in Italy and the Vatican.

The material sent from China is described by as the following: 10, 000 masks (model N95), another 500,000 disposable masks, 27,000 surgical gloves, 8,000 coveralls and 6,000 protective glasses. also reports, in the same article, that earlier this year, the Vatican donated 200,000 Euros to China to help with the Corona epidemic and did this through the same charity, Jinde Charities, which is now sending medical supplies to the Vatican.

However,, the official daily newspaper of the Italian Bishops’ Conference is saying that this 200,000 euros was sent to various organs of the Catholic Church in China.

But says, rather, the Vatican sent $100,000 USD, before Christmas, the payment being made to Jinde Charities by the Vatican Department for Integral Human Development, but destined for the poor of mountainous regions of Hebei and Guizhou provinces. In passing, La Stampa also reveals that Jinde Charities in 2017 held a fundraiser at the Cathedral of the Patriotic Church in Peking, which was attended by many political organizations of the Marxist government. La Stampa’s report glories in the collaboration of the Vatican with the Marxist government.

How the Chinese government can be so bitterly persecuting the Church in China but allowing Catholic charities to operate and engage in such large scale shipments, is not clear. It is also not clear whether the entities in China accept or not the Vatican-China accord which illegitimately subjected the Church in China to the governmental authorities demands: an accord which is, till this day, secret, and not even revealed to Cardinal Zen, as to its precise terms.
