More Violent Protests tonight at Rome
This appears to be the sequel to the protest at the Piazza Indipendenza.
Live : Anti-Lockdown protest now at Rome
This protest was orchestrated by a group of the extreme Left, known as Rifondazione Partito Communista. They are known to congregate at the Piazza Sanniti, in the section of Rome, knows as San Lorenzo. They are extreme anti-clericals, atheits and Marxists. They are not part of the ruling government coalition in Italy. They attempted to march down the streets after this, but were blocked by the Police. However the government was so afraid that for nearly 2 hours, they had patrol helicopters circling in the air to monitor the situation.
The chant that they can be heard to be reciting, “Pagherete caro pagherete tutto”, (You will pay dearly, you will all pay) is the 40 year old chant of the Communist party against Confindustria, the Italian Corporate Employers Federation.

Tensions are high at Rome, as Police Helicopters prowl in the skies even as this report is being filed. This protest took place at Campo dei Fiori, the Piazza adjacent to the Piazza Farnese in which the French Embassy is located in the historic district.

Around it I saw crowds of poor, pious souls, in great distress and anxiety on account of the Pope’s disappearance and the agitation and alarming reports throughout the city. Led by one common impulse, they had come to invoke the Mother of God. They did not expect to find the church open, they intended only to pray outside. But I was inside, I opened the door and they entered, astounded at the door’s opening of itself. I was standing aloof where they could not see me. There was no service, only the chancel-lamps were burning, and the people knelt in quiet prayer. Then the Mother of God appeared. An Orthodox priest of Greek nationality was shot at with a sawed-off shotgun this Saturday around 4 p.m., rue du Père-Chevrier, Jean-Macé district, in the 7th arrondissement of Lyon. The priest was “in the process of closing his church” (a Greek Orthodox church), according to a police source, when the shots rang out. Actively Wanted Shooter The victim is in serious condition and the alleged perpetrator has fled. He is actively wanted by the police.
According to Le Progrès, the priest was conscious when he was taken in by the emergency services. The area of the Greek Orthodox Church in Lyon has been cordoned off. The Interior Ministry recommends avoiding the area.
This news item comes two days after the knife attack at the Notre-Dame de l’Assomption basilica in Nice, which left three dead. After this attack, France raised the Vigipirate plan to the “emergency attack” level and announced the strengthening of Operation Sentinel, in particular to secure places of worship during this All Saints weekend. After meeting the security forces in Rouen, Prime Minister Jean Castex and Minister of the Armies Florence Parly are currently in Saint-Étienne-du-Rouvray (Seine-Maritime) for a tribute to Father Hamel, assassinated in 2016 by two jihadists . Jean Castex who announced that he was returning immediately to Paris to join the crisis unit.

This devotion is inspired by the request made by Our Lady Herself in
Bl. Anne Catherine Emmerich’s Vision of
August 25, 1822: “I know not now how I went to Rome last night, but I found myself near the church of Santa Maria Maggiore. Around it I saw crowds of poor, pious souls, in great distress and anxiety on account of the Pope’s disappearance and the agitation and alarming reports throughout the city. Led by one common impulse, they had come to invoke the Mother of God. They did not expect to find the church open, they intended only to pray outside. But I was inside, I opened the door and they entered, astounded at the door’s opening of itself. I was standing aloof where they could not see me. There was no service, only the chancel-lamps were burning, and the people knelt in quiet prayer. Then the Mother of God appeared. She said that great tribulations were at hand; that the people must pray earnestly with extended arms, if only for the length of three Our Fathers, for it was thus that her Son had prayed for them upon the Cross; that they should rise at midnight to pray thus; that they should continue to come to Her church which they would always find open; and that they should, above all, pray for the extirpation of the Church of Darkness. … I know not whether the people saw the apparition or not, but they must have been impressed by something supernatural for, when the Blessed Virgin said they should pray to God with arms extended, all lifted up their arms … It seemed to be an association of prayer.” From this time Sister Emmerich assisted nightly at the pious exercises at Santa Maria Maggiore. Horrifying Islamic Terror Attacks in Nice, Avignon and Jeddah this morning

Today is the days Muslims celebrate the birthday of Mohammed. But it was not a day for celebrations, for Christians at least.
At Avignon, a Muslim attempted to stab a police man and was shot to death by the police. Here is the video:

At Jeddah in Saudi Arabia, a man succeeded in stabbing — not lethally — the French Consul to Saudi Arabia. The French Embassy issued a nationwide alert to all French Nationals in the peninsula.
But the worst and most horrific of the attacks took place before morning mass, inside the Basilica of Notre Dame (Our Lady) at Nice, France, on the south cost of the country.
Nice, if you remember, suffered already one of the most horrific carnages of Islamic terror in recent memory, when a Muslim ran over 86 human beings on the promenade of the city. Individuals of several nationalities were slaughtered, crushed and dragged to death. Most of them were French nationals.
This, morning, however, a Muslim carrying a knife entered the Basilica of Our Lady and DECAPITATED the sacristan, a 70 year old woman, who was waiting for morning Mass to begin. He then assaulted 2 others, whose heads he also attempted to sever.
Police storming the Basilica were able to shoot the assailant before he succeeded, but the other two victims died anyway. A fourth victim was injured.

As the perpetrator was being medicated and subdued, he continued to shout, “Allah Ahkbar!” repeatedly and would not stop.
