  1. It is only a little over 30 years since Poland became free of the communist yoke, so I suspect that they aren’t in a hurry to move to a new totalitarian regime. Duda’s announcement is therefore encouraging, although it is also the case that the vax is not yet mandatory in any of the new proto-totalitarian states.. A good test will be if (and how) Poland adopts any of the vax-pass restrictions that are being imposed elsewhere.

    Of course, Duda’s position might change if the coming winter season turns out to be as bad for the vaxxed as some people fear.
