  8. I did not know there were still people like Bishop Williamson in public life considering that mendacity has become a virtue all over the globe. The Bishop is correct regarding the number of jews killed in concentration camps. The facts mentioned by the Bishop can also be found in Douglas Reed’s brilliant book “The Controversy of Zion”. Douglas Reed was a British journalist and before, during and after the second World War he worked as the correspondent of The Times in Germany. In other words, he “was on the ground” and knew exactly what was happening and the Bishop’s remarks fully concur with Douglas Reed’s findings.

The pictures of piles of bodies being buried by the Allies at the end of the war were not killed by the Germans but by Allied air attacks on rail lines and supply routes there was no way food could be transported to the camps due to this fact. Hollywood director Billy Wilder was on hand to film the carnage used as propaganda evidence to blame the Nazi’s.     Benjamin Harrison Freedman (1890-1984) was an American businessman, Holocaust denier, and vocal anti-Zionist. Born in a Jewish family, he converted from Judaism to Roman Catholicism. Outside of political activism, Freedman was a partner in a dermatological institute and investor for small businesses.

    Freedman was, from 1925 to 1937, a partner with Samuel D. Leidesdorf and the John H. Woodbury Laboratories, a dermatological institute[9] and a derivative company of the old Woodbury Soap Company. Benjamin H Freedman was listed on the letterhead of the Institute for Arab American Affairs and around 1946, along with his wife, listed as “R M Schoendorf” (Rose M. Schoendorf Freedman), “sponsored a series of advertisements under the imprint of ‘The League for Peace with Justice in Palestine'”. In 1946 he sued the American Jewish Committee for libel and the case was thrown out in less than a month.

    In 1988, the Institute for Historical Review, an organization known for propagating Holocaust denial, published Robert John’s Behind the Balfour Declaration, including a single acknowledgment to Freedman. John wrote that Freedman “gave me copies of materials on the Balfour Declaration, which I might never have found on my own and (he) encouraged my own research.”

    Sigmund Sobolewski (Polish pronunciation: [ˈzɨɡmunt sɔbɔˈlɛ(f)skʲi], Zygmunt Sobolewski; May 11, 1923 – August 7, 2017) was a Polish Catholic Holocaust survivor and activist. He was the 88th prisoner to enter Auschwitz on the first transport to the concentration camp on June 14, 1940, and remained a prisoner for four and a half years during World War II. He was an opponent of Holocaust denial and was notable as a non-Jewish victim and witness who confronted neo-Nazis, antisemites and Holocaust deniers. His life and memories as a survivor are recounted in “Prisoner 88: The Man in Stripes” by Rabbi Roy Tanenbaum.

    Sobolewski (who was also known in Canada as Sigmund Sherwood or Sigmund Sherwood-Sobolewski) traveled the world following the war and settled in Canada in 1949. In 1967, he was engaged as an activist opposed to neo-Nazism. While living in Toronto, he was among the demonstrators at an event attended by 6,000 people at the Toronto Coliseum to “denounce the rise of neo-Nazi forces in Germany.” He went on a 7,000-mile trip across Europe to demand that West Germany compensate members of his Former Prisoners Association, all of whom had been in Nazi camps. He also initiated his activity protesting against neo-Nazism by donning a facsimile of his Auschwitz prison uniform and picketing the appearance of a German neo-Nazi leader on Canadian television.

    In 1983, while a hotel owner in Fort Macleod, Alberta, he offered to pay for a trip to Auschwitz for Jim Keegstra, the Alberta teacher who taught the myth of a Jewish world-conspiracy and was a Holocaust denier. Keegstra declined the offer. In 1989, then living in Fort Assiniboine, Alberta, he organized the first Remembrance Service at Edmonton’s Holy Rosary Polish Catholic Church attended by local Jewish representatives. He told a reporter after that program that while it was bad to be a Catholic in Auschwitz, “to be a Jew there was hopeless”, and that he was concerned that the “Nazi crimes against humanity will be forgotten and swept under the carpet”. He noted that he had advertised in a local newspaper for an assistant to help him with his memoirs, and received 43 responses. Only four of the respondents, he said, had heard of Auschwitz.

    In 1990, he retraced the route he travelled unwillingly 50 years earlier from Tarnów to Auschwitz-Birkenau to campaign for the creation of four “meditation gardens” at that death camp.     Later life

    Jan Karski (24 June 1914[a] – 13 July 2000) was a Polish soldier, resistance-fighter, and diplomat during World War II. He is known for having acted as a courier in 1940–1943 to the Polish government-in-exile and to Poland’s Western Allies about the situation in German-occupied Poland. He reported about the state of Poland, its many competing resistance factions, and also about Germany’s destruction of the Warsaw Ghetto and its operation of extermination camps on Polish soil that were murdering Jews, Poles, and others.

In 2010 Lanzmann released a short documentary, The Karski Report, which contained more about Karski’s meetings with President Franklin D. Roosevelt and other US leaders in 1943.

    Karski later stated: “I wanted to save millions, and I was not able to save one man.”

    World War II

    During the Polish September Campaign, Kozielewski’s 5th Regiment was part of the Kraków Cavalry Brigade, under General Zygmunt Piasecki, a unit of the Armia Kraków defending the area between Zabkowice and Częstochowa. After the Battle of Tomaszów Lubelski on 10 September 1939, some units, including Kozielewski’s 1st Battery, 5th Regiment, tried to reach Hungary, but were captured by the Red Army between 17 and 20 September. Kozielewski was held prisoner in the Kozielszczyna camp (presently in Ukraine). He successfully concealed his true rank of second lieutenant and, after a uniform exchange, was identified by the NKVD commander as a private. He was transferred to the Germans as a person born in Łódź, which was incorporated into the Third Reich, and thus escaped the Katyn massacre of Polish officers by the Soviets.

    Resistance

    Jan Karski’s missions

    In November 1939 Karski was among POWs on a train bound for a POW camp in the General Government zone, a part of Poland that had not been fully incorporated into The Third Reich. He escaped and made his way to Warsaw. There he joined the SZP (Służba Zwycięstwu Polski)—the first resistance movement in occupied Europe, organized by General Michał Karaszewicz-Tokarzewski, the predecessor to ZWZ, later the Home Army (AK).

    About that time Kozielewski adopted the nom de guerre, Jan Karski, which he later made his legal name. Other names used by him during World War II included Piasecki, Kwaśniewski, Znamierowski, Kruszewski, Kucharski, and Witold. In January 1940 Karski began to organize courier missions to transport dispatches from the Polish underground to the Polish government-in-exile, then based in Paris. As a courier, Karski made several secret trips between France, Britain, and Poland. During one such mission in July 1940, he was arrested by the Gestapo in the Tatra Mountains in Slovakia. Tortured, he was transported to a hospital in Nowy Sącz, from which he was smuggled out with the help of Józef Cyrankiewicz. After a short period of rehabilitation, he returned to active service in the Information and Propaganda Bureau of the headquarters of the Polish Home Army.

    In 1942, Karski was selected by Cyryl Ratajski, the Polish Government Delegate’s Office at Home, to undertake a secret mission to see prime minister Władysław Sikorski in London. Karski was to contact Sikorski, as well as various other Polish politicians, and brief them on Nazi atrocities in occupied Poland. In order to gather evidence, Karski met Bund activist Leon Feiner. He was twice smuggled by the Jewish underground into the Warsaw Ghetto in order to directly observe what was happening to Polish Jews.

    “My job was just to walk. And observe. And remember. The odour. The children. Dirty. Lying. I saw a man standing with blank eyes. I asked the guide: what is he doing? The guide whispered: “He’s just dying”. I remember degradation, starvation and dead bodies lying on the street. We were walking the streets and my guide kept repeating: “Look at it, remember, remember” And I did remember. The dirty streets. The stench. Everywhere. Suffocating. Nervousness.

    Disguised as an Estonian camp guard, he visited what he thought was Bełżec death camp. It appears that Karski in fact witnessed a Durchgangslager (‘transit camp’) for Bełżec in the town of Izbica Lubelska, midway between Lublin and Bełżec. Many historians have accepted this interpretation, as did Karski himself.

    Reporting Nazi atrocities to the Western Allies

    Starting in 1940, Karski reported to the Polish, British, and US governments on the situation in Poland, especially on the destruction of the Warsaw Ghetto and the Nazi extermination of Polish Jews. He smuggled out of Poland microfilm with further information from the underground movement on the extermination of European Jews in German-occupied Poland. His reports were transcribed and translated by Walentyna Stocker, the personal secretary and interpreter for Sikorski. Based on Karski’s microfilm, Polish Foreign Minister Count Edward Raczyński provided the Allies with one of the earliest and most accurate accounts of the Nazi Holocaust. Raczyński’s Note, addressed to the governments of the United Nations on 10 December 1942, was later published along with other documents in a widely distributed leaflet entitled “The Mass Extermination of Jews in German Occupied Poland”.

    Karski met with Polish politicians in exile including the prime minister, as well as members of political parties such as the Socialist Party, National Party, Labor Party, People’s Party, Jewish Bund and Poalei Zion. He also spoke to the British Foreign Secretary Anthony Eden, giving a detailed account of what he had seen in Warsaw and Bełżec.

    Karski also traveled to the United States, where on 28 July 1943 he met with President Franklin D. Roosevelt in the Oval Office, the first eyewitness to tell Roosevelt of the situation in Poland and the Jewish Holocaust. Roosevelt asked no questions about the Jews. Karski met with many other government and civic leaders in the United States, including Supreme Court Justice Felix Frankfurter, Cordell Hull, William Joseph Donovan, and Rabbi Stephen Wise. Karski presented his report to media, bishops of various denominations (including Cardinal Samuel Stritch), members of the Hollywood film industry and artists, but without result, as most people could not comprehend the scale of extermination that he recounted. But Karski’s accounts of the problems of stateless people and their vulnerability to murder helped inspire the formation of the War Refugee Board, changing US governmental policy from neutrality to support for war refugees and civilians in Europe, and after the war, inspiring the creation of the Office of High Commissioner for Refugees.

    In 1944, Karski published “Courier from Poland: The Story of a Secret State” (a selection was featured in Collier’s magazine six weeks before the book’s publication). He related his experiences in wartime Poland. The book sold more than 400,000 copies through the end of World War II. A film adaptation was planned but never realized.

    According to historian Adam Puławski, Karski’s main mission as a courier was to alert the government-in-exile of the conflicts within Polish underground movements. He discussed the Warsaw Ghetto liquidation as part of that account, almost incidentally. Without diminishing Karski’s contributions, Puławski notes that facts about the Holocaust were available to the Allies for at least a year and half before Karski met with Roosevelt, thus to say that his mission was primarily to report on the Holocaust is in error.

    Dr. Karl Skorecki, a Cohen of Eastern European parents, was attending synagogue one morning. The Cohen called up for the Torah reading that morning was a Jew of Sephardic background, whose parents were born in North Africa. Dr. Skorecki looked at the Sephardi Cohen’s physical features and considered his own physical features. They were significantly different in stature, skin coloration and hair and eye color. Yet both had a tradition of being Cohanim, direct descendants of one man — Aaron, the brother of Moses.

    Cohanim (plural of Cohen) are the priestly family of the Jewish people, members of the Tribe of Levi. The books of Exodus and Leviticus describe the responsibilities of the Cohanim, which include the Temple service and blessing of the people. The Torah (the first five books of the Bible) describes the anointing of Aaron, the brother of Moses, as the first High Priest (Cohen Gadol).

    Jewish tradition, based on the Torah, is that all Cohanim are direct descendants of Aaron, the brother of Moses. The Cohen line is patrilineal — passed from father to son without interruption for 3,300 years, or more than 100 generations.

    Dr. Skorecki considered, “According to tradition, this Sephardi Cohen and I have a common ancestor. Could this line have been maintained since Sinai, and throughout the long exile of the Jewish people?” As a scientist, he wondered, could such a claim be tested?

    Being a nephrologist and a top-level researcher at the University of Toronto and the Rambam-Technion Medical Center in Haifa, he was involved in the breakthroughs in molecular genetics which are revolutionizing medicine and the study of the life-sciences. He was also aware of the newly developing application of DNA analysis to the study of history and population diversity.

    Dr. Skorecki considered a hypothesis: if the Cohanim are descendants of one man, they should have a common set of genetic markers — a common haplotype — that of their common ancestor. In our case, Aaron HaCohen.

    HOW IT WORKS

    A genetic marker is a variation in the nucleotide sequence of the DNA, known as a mutation. Mutations which occur within genes — a part of the DNA which codes for a protein — usually cause a malfunction or disease and is lost due to selection in succeeding generations. However, mutations found in so-called “non-coding regions” of the DNA tend to persist.

    Since the Y chromosome consists almost entirely of non-coding DNA (except for the genes determining maleness), it would tend to accumulate mutations. Since it is passed from father to son without recombination, the genetic information on a Y chromosome of a man living today is basically the same as that of his ancient male ancestors, except for the rare mutations that occur along the hereditary line.

    A combination of these neutral mutations, known as a haplotype, can serve as a genetic signature of a man’s male ancestry. Maternal genealogies are also being studied by means of the m-DNA (mitrocondrial DNA), which is inherited only from the mother.

    THE SEARCH BEGINS

    Dr. Skorecki made contact with Professor Michael Hammer, of the University of Arizona, a leading researcher in molecular genetics and a pioneer in Y chromosome research. Professor Hammer uses DNA analysis to study the history of populations, their origins and migrations. His previous research included work on the origins of the Native American Indians and the development of the Japanese people.

    A study was undertaken to test the hypothesis. If there were a common ancestor, the Cohanim should have common genetic markers at a higher frequency than the general Jewish population.

    In the first study, as reported in the prestigious British science journal, Nature (January 2, 1997), 188 Jewish males were asked to contribute some cheek cells from which their DNA was extracted for study. Participants from Israel, England and North America were asked to identify whether they were a Cohen, Levi or Israelite, and to identify their family background.

    The results of the analysis of the Y chromosome markers of the Cohanim and non-Cohanim were indeed significant. A particular marker, (YAP-) was detected in 98.5 percent of the Cohanim, and in a significantly lower percentage of non-Cohanim.

    FURTHER CONFIRMATION

    In a second study, Dr. Skorecki and associates gathered more DNA samples and expanded their selection of Y chromosome markers. Solidifying their hypothesis of the Cohens’ common ancestor, they found that a particular array of six chromosomal markers was found in 97 of the 106 Cohens tested. This collection of markers has come to be known as the Cohen Modal Hapoltype (CMH) — the standard genetic signature of the Jewish priestly family. The chances of these findings happening at random is greater than one in 10,000.

    The finding of a common set of genetic markers in both Ashkenazi and Sephardi Cohanim worldwide clearly indicates an origin pre-dating the separate development of the two communities around 1000 CE. Date calculation based on the variation of the mutations among Cohanim today yields a time frame of 106 generations from the ancestral founder of the line, some 3,300 years — the approximate time of the Exodus from Egypt, the lifetime of Aaron HaCohen.

    Professor Hammer was recently in Israel for the Jewish Genome Conference. He confirmed that his findings are consistent — over 80 percent of self-identified Cohanim have a common set of markers.

    The finding that less than one-third of the non-Cohen Jews who were tested possess these markers is not surprising to the geneticists. Jewishness is not defined genetically. Other Y-chromosomes can enter the Jewish gene pool through conversion or through a non-Jewish father. Jewish status is determined by the mother. Tribe membership follows the father’s line.

    AMAZING STATISTICS

    Calculations based on the high rate of genetic similarity of today’s Cohanim resulted in the highest “paternity-certainty” rate ever recorded in population genetics studies — a scientific testimony to family faithfulness.

    Stated Dr. David Goldstein of Oxford University:

    “For more than 90 percent of the Cohens to share the same genetic markers after such a period of time is a testament to the devotion of the wives of the Cohens over the years. Even a low rate of infidelity would have dramatically lowered the percentage.”

    Wider genetic studies of diverse present day Jewish communities show a remarkable genetic cohesiveness. Jews from Iran, Iraq, Yemen, North Africa and European Ashkenazim all cluster together with other Semitic groups, with their origin in the Middle East. A common geographical original can be seen for all mainstream Jewish groups studied.

    THIS GENETIC RESEARCH HAS CLEARLY REFUTED THE LIBEL THAT THE ASHKENAZI JEWS ARE NOT RELATED TO THE ANCIENT HEBREWS, BUT ARE DESCENDANTS OF THE KUZAR TRIBE — a pre-10th century Turko-Asian empire which reportedly converted en masse to Judaism. Researchers compared the DNA signature of the Ashkenazi Jews against those of Turkish-derived people, and found no correspondence.

    OTHER SURPRISING FINDINGS

    In their second published paper in Nature (July 9, 1998) the researchers included an unexpected finding. Those Jews in the study who identified themselves as Levites did not show a common set of markers as did the Cohanim. The Levites clustered in three groupings, one of them the CMH. According to tradition, the Levites should also show a genetic signature from a common paternal patrilineal ancestor. The researchers are now focusing effort on the study of Levites’ genetic make up to learn more about their history in the Diaspora.

    Using the CMH as a DNA signature of the ancient Hebrews, researchers are pursuing a hunt for Jewish genes around the world.

    This could have ramifications in the search for the Biblical Ten Lost Tribes.

    Using the genetic markers of the Cohanim as a yardstick, these genetic archaeologists are using DNA research to discover historical links to the Jewish people.

    The researchers’ policy is that the research is not a test of individuals, but an examination of the extended family. Having the CMH is not a proof of one’s being a Cohen, for the mother’s side is also significant in determining one’s Cohen status. At present, there are no ramifications in Jewish law due to this discovery. No one is certified nor disqualified because of their Y chromosome markers.

    The research has shown a clear genetic relationship amongst Cohanim and their direct lineage from a common ancestor. THE RESEARCH FINDINGS SUPPORT THE TORAH STATEMENTS THAT THE LINE OF AARON WILL LAST THROUGHOUT HISTORY:

    “… and they shall have the Priesthood as a statute forever, and you shall consecrate Aaron and his sons.” [Exodus 29:9]

    “… it shall be for them an appointment to an everlasting Priesthood throughout their generations.” [Exodus 40:15]

    “And it shall be to him and to his descendants after him a covenant of everlastingPriesthood.” [Numbers 25:13]

    That our Torah tradition is supported by these findings is an inspiration for many that God surely keeps His promises. May we soon see the Cohanim restored to their service, Levites on their Temple platform and Israelites at their places.

Lowell Joseph Gallin’s argumentation is based on the Old Testament which, as we know, was composed and continuously updated according to their requirements by the Levites and later the Pharisees. Its text mainly consists of lies and Jewish fables. In any case, the genome is not something that rigidly controls human behaviour or thinking. Its function is that of an antenna.

    1. That is not true at all. The Old Testament, as well as all the books of the bible underwent no transformations after they were authored. To hold the contrary is heretical.

      1. This is not so. The Old Testament was phrased by the Levites and Pharisees and adjusted by them in accordance with their requirements. These texts should never have become part of the Bible and it is “unclear” and almost unbelievable that the Christian (Catholic) Church agreed to use these texts, which were supplied by the Jews. This was made very clear by Douglas Reed in his book “The Controversy of Zion”.

      2. Your position is that of the long ago condemned heretic Marcion. The Christian Church has always rejected it, because Christ Himself said, “He wrote of me”, John 5:46-47…. The New Testament is replete with quotations and citation and allusions to Old Testament passages. If you question the authenticity or integrity of the one you undermine the latter.

  16. I do not think that you know how the Bible was compiled. I do not have the slightest doubt that Douglas Reed’s findings are correct, but we shall leave it at that. Douglas Reed also pointed out that “events” highlighted in the Old Testament were not corroborated on any tablets of the time found in the Middle East.

    1. I have studied the origin, composition and authorship of the Old and New Testament and am a published author with two monographs. If Reed accepts the Welhausen theory then he has bought a lie cooked up by a Jewish Sabbatean sodomite playwrite in Berlin, and is a fool.
