The wierd thing is that in Catholic books on Saints which were written in the last Century ,and before, and the message of Fatima, a Pope of Bergolios profile is predicted by authentic mystics of the time. And the reason is that Catholics did not Pray and do enough Penance. The Purgatory of past was full of sinners who failed to do Penance on earth to make up for their offences to God…and the length of earthly time for those sins was staggering…

    2. Wouldn’t ya know…It was then after Vatican II that the tradition of Wed. and Fri. Days of Fasting as an obligation of penance was mostly discontinued when in fact it was MOST needed. Can still recall the Great-Grands, Grands and Parent carrying forth the days of penance, but we kids weren’t expected to do them. Many of these generations beginning at the end of the Boomer years forward have only begun practicing Traditional Catholicism and have loved the Latin Mass, etc. only to have so much removed by Bergoglio. Is a good practice to pray for the Holy Souls in Purgatory and to appease God’s anger and hurt with the offenses of humanity and to offer penances and every moment of every day and all we do in our imperfection to the Sacred Heart of our Lord. It’s all so odd…The way things are at this time. Impossible to imagine even with the Apparitions even in 2013.
