No one should be surprised. Bergoglio is a corrupt liberal Jesuit heretic, Rupnik the same. Jesuit protects Jesuit. But if Rupnik were a tradition leaning Jesuit (which he isn’t), I don’t think Francis would be willing to cover up for him. All this is going to explode in Francis’ face very soon. The “teflon pope” as some are calling him, being able to avoid being blamed/implicated in numerous Vatican scandals which are really his doing, won’t be able to escape this one. We hope.
