Editor’s Note: Since Episcopal conferences have no existence in the Divine constitution of the Church, and thus hold no jurisdiction, they cannot legislate. That requires a provincial or national council, in which all voices are heard. Thus, it is my opinion that these new regulations have no force of law, even though, I think it is a good thing that clergy and religious teach faithfully the teaching of the Church. I also think that requiring that they identify themselves on social media at all times will put them in personal danger from radical Marxist groups and all who want to do them ill.
