Editor’s Note: I cannot say when the Russian Federation began courting the Archbishop as an intel asset, perhaps from his time in the Vatican or when he was Nuncio to the United States of America. But in the last few years, he has spoken with Bishop Hilarion (formerly of Vienna, now of Budapest), who is the FSB / Russian Orthodox main operative in Europe. It seems, by attending the founding meeting of this new Russophile Movement, that he has broken completely with the Catholic Church and betrayed his vow of obedience to the Roman Pontiff. — I expect canonical sanctions to follow this year.

Nuance, Brother A, nuance. Here is the English translation of Vigano’s speech, in which he is trying to save the “baby” of Christian Russia from the bathwater which is Putin’s pursuit of the Ukraine war, though he is careful not to name names. https://www.monomakhos.com/archbishop-vigano-on-international-movement-of-russophiles/
Vigano is not endorsing Putinism.
Though he doesn’t say so, He is mindful that Our Lady said that eventually (post Putin, obviously) Russia will be the means by which the Christian world is renewed, though right now it is a “can-of-worms” mystery how God is going to sort this mess out. He is reaching out to Christian Russians to be aware of the Antichrist’s use of the NWO, IMF, WHO, and the scamdemic outside their own current problems.
The comments under the article are sane and also worth a glance.
Yeah, he is not endorsing Putinism. He is just joining an organization founded by Putin.
You didn’t read the letter carefully.
To address an organization is NOT to join it.
Archbishop Viganò is a diplomat, and diplomats talk to all sides, including hostile ones, in hopes to find common ground for raproachment. That’s what he’s doing, and its a good thing.
Think of Trump meeting and talking with “Little Rocket Man” of North Korea. It was a good thing to do; nobody else had tried this. It didn’t mean Trump was joining the North Korean Communist party.
Nuance, Brother A., nuance.
He is no longer anyone’s diplomat, but his own ….
Petrichor, regarding your reference to the Trump – Kim Yong-un meeting: pure theatre for our dialectical delight. You have surely noticed that “nation state politicians” are now nakedly acting (I mean that quite literally) out on the “world stage”? This is the visible manifestatation that the money power is now ready to go directly global to local. Although it may appear a trivial point, their absurd hairstyles are a clue – straight out of Tavistock Centre central casting. I believe we will see the demise of nation state politics this side of 2030.
I would share that assessment.
We should not be scandalized by what Archbishop Vigano did, though it is a scandal, but rather pray he gets sane again and beg forgiveness in front of Pope Francis.
