I wonder whether “In Portugal, the doctrine of the faith will always be preserved” refers to a schism in the church and the faithful bishops electing a new Pope who establishes Fatima as his new Rome. Would this go against the doctrine of the Church?
No, it is highly likely, since the Saints say that Antichrrist will take posession of Rome and establish a fake Church, and claim the title of the Pope. And since no country can preserve the dogma of the Faith without Peter, Portugal will remain in communion with the true Pope.
