Not only that, but girl altar servers deform the faith of all who are assisting at Mass.
GOD bless Cdl Ranjith for this “step in the right direction”.
He can be an excellent example to other prelates, especially if he continues to renew/re-introduce so much of what was deliberately ‘trashed’ after Vatican II e.g. altar-rails, distribution of Holy Communion by consecrated hands only, side altars, ‘ad orientem’ worship, gregorian chant, singing of the Ordinary of the Mass by the laity in Latin, reciting the prayer to Holy Michael the Archangel after Mass, etc etc…….
“O Clavis David et sceptrum domus Israel, qui aperis, et nemo claudit; claudis, et nemo aperit; veni, et educ vinctum de domo carceria, sedentem in tenebris, et umbra mortis.”
Compare with the diocese of Malines-Brussels (Belgium) where the “synodal” archbishop appointed a woman as “apostolic delegate” to replace an auxiliary bishop in the French speaking part of the diocese with her name to be mentioned after the Pope’s and the bishop’s in the canon… while ordinations to the priesthood are at the lowest.
