Editor’s Note: After admitting he attended a “pilgrimage” promoted by a Zionist backed organization, the author of the above article, which is full of biased language, tells us of his pity that such a man died having said such things about the Jews, as if speaking well of Jews was the touchstone of salvation. The article oozes with self-righteousness and tries to characterize as abominable what Catholics, including the Apostle Saint Paul, have been saying without prejudice for 2000 years. — After reading this article, please bookmark “Catholic World Report” under another name. I will let my readers suggest which ones.
Note: It is not a sin to say that unbelievers who oppose Christ and His Church are our “enemies” and will be damned, because God Himself calls them such and warns them of such an end. This is also true if the unbelievers claim to be the descendants of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. The above article is implicitly heretical in that it denies God’s own statements about the damnation of His enemies and of the enemies of His New Covenant ratified in Christ Jesus’ Blood.
Thus, it is licit and virtuous to hate these enemies of God, so long as we hate them for opposing God and not because of their racial origins. Now nowhere in the history of Christianity do I recall any ecclesiastical writer hating Jews for their racial origins, except some Bishops who supported Adolf Hitler, which is ironic, because he himself had Jewish racial origins. As for Bishop Williamson he never descended to the level of racial hatred, even though his critic in the above article has descended even further, to the level of the hatred of revealed truth.
Let’s be clear, that what Saint Paul says about God’s promises to the offspring of Abraham being “irrevocable” does not mean that when one of them rejects Jesus Christ that he has not revoked those blessings, because a Covenant is a two-way contract, each party can sever it. And to insist that it is inseverable, when one party is unfaithful, is simply ludicrous racism. This is why the Catholic position, before Vatican II, is the correct and only God’ approved position. Vatican II had no authority to change that and did not invoke any authority to do so. The document Nostra Aetate is canonically invalid and to appeal to it as an alternative view or a change is simply a flat-out juridical lie. Moreover, the indefectibility of the Church guarantees that She can never change the revealed doctrine on these matters, and all those who have attempted otherwise are making themselves hateful to the Living God, Yahweh Sabaoth.
Well said. Bishop Williamson was fed to the lions for stating what he said, which a Swedish TV channel kept the sound running after their video interview had finished. The Catholic world and the SSPX cut him off not for denying a dogma or doctrine of the truth but for daring to deny a shiboleth that the Dead Sea Pedestrians – as BW called them – have called dogma. I recall only E Michael Jones pointed out the ridiculousness of this action. Unbowed, his excellency never wavered from defending the faith.
He was very brave for that.
