Pro-Vatican Il Messaggero admits Pope Francis’ health is declining

Editor’s Note: The picture Il Messaggero chose for its article might give Pope Francis’ critics some hope, but it was only a teaser for an article which, while praising him for his determination to go strong, admits openly his health is declining.

Often when death is near, individuals react by putting themselves under greater strain to prove they are healthy. But it’s a psychological trick, of self deception, which only increases the downward spiral.

Il Messaggero openly published articles about problems in the Pope Benedict XVI – Pope Francis transition, until the latter visited them. Then they shut up. We can now suppose that some USAID monies were redirected at public relations expenses, so speak every so gently. — However, if Il Messaggero is now speaking more frankly, it must be that Pope Francis’ health is much worse than anyone is letting on.
