Pope Francis to return to Vatican, Sunday, March 23, 2025

by Br. Alexis Bugnolo

It was just reported during the live video feed from Gemelli hospital at 6:03 PM this afternoon. Pope Francis will return to Santa Marta. He will have to continue his therapies of exercising his lungs and limbs. His doctors says that they hope he will be able to return to his previous duties in a short time.

During the press conference there spoke Dr. Alfieri and Dr. Carbone and the spokesman for the Pope.

It is clear that the previous announcement of appearing at the window caused the Hospital Administration to finally break its patience and put an end to the theatre which has been conducted for 34 days. The Pope will still appear at the window, but soon afterward, as soon as possible he will return to the Vatican.

His doctors do not have any special concerns about Pope Francis in the near future, as they claim that he has improved sufficiently in the last two weeks to be able to return home. It is best for him to return home, since hospitals are places where it is more likely to catch infections.

Pope Francis received no special care at Gemelli, according to the officials of the hospital. And his medical team has finally been named, all of which serve all the patients of the hospital. Pope Francis is not diabetic, but his diabetes was only a temporary situation of his condition while in the hospital. This confirms that his glycemic levels were caused by his cortisone abuse.

Pope Francis did not have covid, but the doctors won’t identify the kinds of polymicrobic infection. But Pope Francis could have gone home earlier and has been a good patient, claims the doctors, who now agree that the time has come for him to go home. And the pope agreed.

The doctors believe that Pope Francis will be able to return to his previous level of activity soon.

Regarding his infection of the lungs, some kinds of bacteria have been eliminated, some viruses reduced, and other factors will take months.

Pope Francis will not need any special prepared room at Santa Marta, claims the hospital spokesman. He will continue to have need for oxygen.

However, the lead doctor counsels the Pope NOT to meet with large groups or small children while recovering at Santa Marta, to avoid new infections. He is being told by his doctors to rest for the next two months.

During the press conference, live from Gemelli, which I have watched, the AP reporter asked the lead doctor to describe the two moments Pope Francis nearly died by choking, but the doctor talked around the question and did not answer. Also nothing was said about the bloated hand, when the reporter from the Corriere della Sera asked if the Pope had lost any weight and was able to write. The answer was yes he has and yes he can, but nothing further was said.

Finally, it is not clear if the public will be allowed to see Pope Francis’s hands or legs tomorrow, during the claimed window-presentation or his return to Santa Marta. So nothing said, despite the detail given and the special presentation, is actually proof of life at all, if you take a step back and strip it of all the unsubstantiated claims: the public still has not been promised to see the whole Pope alive and kicking, as it were.

In fact, during the entire conference they ignored all the real issues: such as the cortisone abuse by Pope Francis for months prior, his near deaths in February caused by that, his choking incidents, his broncioscopies, and whether he was in fact sleeping or not all those nights it was claimed he was. Thus, the doctors have intentionally NOT confirmed any of the Vatican Press Release anomalies, and seem to want nothing to do with explaining them. And this is significant.

Thus it can be said with perfect honestly, that the Hospital charade has ended, but what social media is calling, the “Weekend at Bernie’s”, continues — a reference to a comedy where two employees are invited to the beach house of their employer, only to find him dead, but to not spoil the weekend, they keep moving his body to make it appear he is still alive.
