Editor’s Note: Emmo News, out of Sardinia, Italy, examined the EXIF data of the highest resolution version of the now infamous photo allegedly showing Pope Francis in chapel at Gemelli Hospital on March 16, 2025. And surprise, they discovered that the data indicates that Catholic News Service (CNS), owned by the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops, claims the intellectual property rights of the image, in conjunction with Vatican News. — This means that either their photographer made the photograph after acquiring the rights to do so from Vatican News, or that Vatican News made it and sold it to CNS. — How this was possible is not yet clear, since Catholic News Agency (owned by EWTN) said that Pope Francis had no visitors on the day claimed to be the day on which the photograph was taken.
As regards Emmo News, they claim the image is an authentic photograph on account of having EXIF data that corresponds to a real photograph. But this is simply a false forensic method, since one can take a photo and strip out its EXIF data and insert it into another image, computer generated, for example.
However, the authenticity of the image is now under even greater doubt, since the Catholic Bishop’s Conference is a notorious USAID funded agency, which at the request of Pope Francis, before he went to hospital, sued the Trump Administration to keep the free money flowing. So they have major financial and political motives to fake a photograph of the Pope, to convince the world he is alive.
Why, it is even possible that this image was purchased with USAID monies.

I would give Bergoglio the best advice from the very mouth of Jesus, as reported by St. John in his Gospel (John 5:14 )
“Jesus found him in the temple and said to him, ‘See, you have been made well! Do not sin any more, so that nothing worse happens to you.’”
I just saw them roll the Pope out in a wheel chair at the Vatican and he did not look at all well. In fact he looked like he was barely aware and had some neurological issues. He was not visible for very long and said nothing.
I don’t think that he is long for this world. I imagine that God is going to have a few things to say to him about the current state of the Church.
He did in fact say a few words, as can be seen in the video. See my article, “The Display of Pope Francis”
