Editor’s Note: All the fanfare of Sunday just went up in smoke; for it turns out that Pope Francis is still so weak and fragile that he cannot host King Charles and his wife on two chairs in the same room as himself. — This means that it is highly likely that either his breathing is still troubled and/or that his mind is too weak or impaired. — This morning’s reports that Pope Francis will be surrounded with a small magic circle of personnel, and that even heads of the “Dicasteries” will not be allowed to see him, also argues that he is suffering from mental impairment, and that this inner circle are trying to hide this, so as to maintain the claim that he is capable of making judgements, when in fact it may be that they are trying to run the Church in his name.
The Mirror is emphasizing that the decision to cancel the State Visit was made hastily and on the basis of new medical advice. So it is also quite possible that Pope Francis suffered some sort of set back during Sunday night to Monday morning.
