Editor’s Note: Many Catholics are extremely shocked at the decision by the U.S. government to uphold the blockade on humanitarian aid to 2 million residents of the Gaza territory. This is way beyond a war crime, it is a crime against humanity. But in the process the American President is risking the lives of thousands of U.S. Navy personnel. However, the problem in the Mideast is not Gaza, Iran, Israel or Yemen: the problem is the ridiculously unjust and bigoted positions taken by Zionists that land which never belonged to them, belongs to them and that they are therefore morally justified to engage in the most depraved forms of modern colonialism still in existence to enforce their will on the region. — Catholics who voted for Trump did not vote for this. — Netanyahu’s support in Israel is in the minority; even the citizens in Israel by a large majority want de-escalation.
