Vatican claims Pope Francis had x-ray without leaving his room

Editor’s Note: But as you can see, from the image below, there is no X-ray machine, nor a room with the required lead shielding to protect the operator, in Pope Francis’ room:

Moreover, since Pope Francis cannot meet anyone, how could he have been moved to anywhere else to have this X-ray?

The news, therefore, is palpably in contradiction to an entire week’s reports about his isolation and the fact that there was no specialized medical equipment needed for Pope Francis’ recovery.

Indeed, Santa Marta, the “hotel” building in which he lives does not appear to have a medical room of any kind (see Here). And VaticanTickets.com claims that Vatican City has no hospitals in its territory.

And yes, there are such things as portable X-ray machines, but they are by no means small or easy to maneuver in a Hotel:

Let’s not even ask what kind of medical professional visited Pope Francis to use such a machine, since there is no evidence that the Vatican employs such a person.

And I am sure the Cardinals and Heads of the “Dicasteries” will wonder why they cannot see Pope Francis, but he can be wheeled around Rome to have an X-ray?

Thus, one can only conclude: More lies. More concealment. Less transparency. The theatre goes on. And the propaganda is not even of the quality produced by Goebbels, which was at least consistent.

  1. As a nurse and patient. Patients can have x-rays taken in their rooms with a portable x-ray machine. The radiology staff wears a lead apron to protect themselves when they do portable x-rays. This is the same way that x-rays are taken in the operating room. I do not believe most of what they have said about his stay, but this is very possible and done often when the patient is not in good enough condition to transport to the radiology department.

    1. Thus, if it was as you say, then he did have visitors, and not from Vatican City, but from outside Vatican City. But they won’t let officials in Vatican city, who have the right and duty to speak with him, even a one minute visit!

  2. Yes, as a nurse, I’ve seen portable X-ray machines being used. They are used all the time for patients who cannot be readily moved to a facility where permanent X-ray rooms exist.
