Editor’s Note: The rush to bury Francis has forgotten that it is the College of Cardinals, whole and entire, which has the duty to bury him. The significant number of Cardinals who have not yet arrived in Rome is about the same number as the number of Cardinals who cannot vote, however. There are 250 Cardinals, 149 have attended the 4th General Congregation of Cardinals, yesterday on Friday morning.
Of course, Cardinals who cannot vote are not obliged to come, and many perhaps won’t even announce it. But the large number makes it appear that they are not rushing to Rome to be there for the funeral. And you cannot blame them.
Are Cardinals Farrel and Re freemasons?
As for the Fourth General Congregation: the above report enumerates 33 Cardinals who made interventions. Apart from that number being symbolic in the Masonic Lodge for lodge members, it shows that a large number of Cardinals think there are grave problems left over from Pope Francis’ pontificate.
However, by publishing that number, it appears that Cardinal Farrel, the Camerlengo (who controls Vatican News during the interregnum) and Cardinal Re, the Dean of the College (who presides over these meetings during the sede vacante) have chosen to signal to international Freemasonry, that they are in control of the College and can be counted on to elect a Freemason as the next pope. — And no, I am not wildly speculating, because during the faux-Conclave of 2013, the College sent a message of condolence for the death of the murderous Marxist dictator and tyrant of Venezuela, a thing never done before in modern history. And look what that Conclave gave to the world!
