Editor’s Note: While we were being told that Pope Francis was doing well and was stable at the Gemelli Hospital, the work to prepare his tomb was underway, as of March 12, of this year. So all the news about his health was a big lie, he knew he was going to die shortly and so did his doctors. — The above article comments eloquently on the cost for Pope Francis’s folly. Fortunately, since what was a door can become a door again, when he is exhumed and sent back where he belongs, such as Argentina, it won’t be too difficult to repair the damage.
The precise location seems to have been chosen because on the left, is the Altar to Saint Francis, and to the right, is the entrance to the chapel of Our Lady, Salus Populi Romani.

The rumor on March 12th past (see link above) seems to have contained the whole truth, that after Gemelli Pope Francis would move into an apartment at Santa Maria Maggiore. However, we took those words to be literally true, when they were comical. He’s moved in alright, into a very small apartment, which most people call a sepulcher.
The reality of what this rumor really meant is another indication that a massive propaganda effort was being waged by Cardinal Parolin to keep the opposition Cardinals from organizing early. However, the history of Papal Conclaves shows, that those involved in shenanigans before the Conclave end up very disappointed by the results of those conclaves, since the College of Cardinals is by its nature more frequently reactionary than insider controlled, after controversial pontificates.
Unwittingly, too, Pope Francis’ appointment of so many new Cardinals will pressure the Conclave to elect someone who will clear out the old wood from the Curia to make room for their new blood, as it were.
