Cardinal Pizzaballa’s Modernist Beliefs

Editor’s Note: This interview is from a year ago. Here are the chief points the Cardinal makes:

  • Faith begins in the family, it has no other source (heresy)
  • Faith requires a desire for the absolute (pure Modernism)
  • A Vocation requires strong idealism, which does not originate from thought or reason (Modernism)
  • A Vocation only comes from interactions with other human beings, who have a sense of the absolute (immanentism)
  • With a long diversionary reply, avoids admitting that the red color of the Cardinal’s vestments means that he should be ready to shed his blood for the Catholic Faith.
  • Evangelization does not mean that non-Catholic Churches should one day join the Catholic Church
  • On the question of women serving in positions of authority or religion in the Catholic Church, on this point he says the Church must be faithful to tradition and revelation and not with the sensibilities of the modern era.
  • The Church is for everyone, but does not belong to everyone (Salvation not mentioned).
  • The Church should not be afraid of Synodality, because there have always been disagreements: dismisses thus the Dubia sent to Pope Francis, during his antipapacy.
  • Church needs a faith which is united with modern life, not separated from it (Modernism)

Very unsurprisingly, the website on the Cardinals by the journalists Mr. Pentin and Mrs. Montagna, says absolutely nothing about the Cardinal’s modernism, even though they cite this video. How did they miss that? Well, for starters, both Pentin and Montagna had no professional qualms publishing bold-face lies about Canon Law to insist Pope Benedict XVI abdicated, which kind of implies that they are both dishonest or modernists themselves.

  1. Historically, the Patriarch of Jerusalem was independent of that of Rome, so there would be something unprecedented if the former became the latter so I don’t see Pizzabella uniting two of them.
Anyway, he would fulfil St. Malachy “Petrus Romanus” prophecy only in the weak sense of being Italian (Roman?). His name Pierbattista literally is like Peter the Baptist anyway. Even if “Petrus” stands for “pope”, Baptist still stays

  2. Thank-you for this information today. Pizzabella was mentioned at church today and I was planning to research his past, beliefs and views on modernism, humanism and their relationship to modern Paganism and the rise of Gnosticism. Faithful Catholics can’t possibly wish for anymore Freemason/Bergoglian/St. Gallen oriented heresy, blasphemy, Apostasy.,,Nor, influence by the Imperialists of the Central Bank Family Coven.
