Rome, Italy — 4:14 P.M. Rome time: Raymond Arroyo of EWTN has just reported that Cardinal Burke is leading a Catholic Faction in the Conclave and has put together a bloc of 50 votes, supported by all the Cardinals from Africa.
Yesterday, as the Conclave began, Cardinal Burke while reciting the Litany of the Saints with the other Cardinals, had hands which were trembling with fear.
My guess is, then, that this bloc is supporting his candidacy.
The Bergoglians are disunited and cannot decide whether to all back Parolin, Tagle, or Zuppi. But even if they do, they cannot manage the 89 votes to win.
If the dynamics remain, I predict Cardinal Burke will be our next holy father, chosen because of all the Cardinals he was the one most persecuted by Pope Francis. As an American with the backing of all the conservative Charitable Foundations in the U.S.A., he will be able to solve both the financial problems and the canonical problems at the Vatican.
And he will take the name Pius XIII, because he has written extensively about the life and achievements of Pope Pius IX, who called Vatican I and defined the Dogma of the Immaculate Conception and Papal Infallibility.

Wow, while I’d be very happy and hopeful, I hope I’d be able to suppress the suspicious part of me, this all seeming too good to be true. I wouldn’t want a Trump style pied-pipper to fool us all into following a globalist stooge. I like to think the Church is different than the world though. We have God.

‘Tis devoutly to be wished, Brother Alexis. I haven’t seen the clip of Mr. Arroyo, and wonder what his source is for the information and whether it preceeded to the beginning of the conclave.
It will take a miracle, to reach the 39 or so that good Cardinal Burke needs. This is most reassuring news nonetheless if it’s true.
In a worst case scenario, so long as Burke holds firm, he can block any apostate — Bête Noir, be it German, Lavender or Masonic — from Usurping St. Peter’s Chair again.
And, it shows that Cardinal Burke came ready to fight.
God bless the African Cardinals, who appear to have had enough of Lavender German Lavenderand Czech insults to their people. I had a feeling Kaspar and Czerny’s arrogance might ignite.
