I try desperately not to think that the papacy has become political but what is the laity to do when Francis treats those he disagrees with (e.g.,Cardinal Burke) by dismissing him from this that and the other and those who are his friends (but have been convicted of sexual misconduct.) go scott free? That sounds very political to me.
