The Vatican has taken great steps to ensure that nothing which happens inside the conclave leaks out. They added a wooden floor to conceal wires and jamming devices and frisk all the Cardinals to make sure they are not bringing cellphones or other devices.
However, I can confirm that someone in the Sistine Chapel has transmitted information to the outside world, as everyone who participated in the Live Chat on the EWTN News Live Coverage YouTube channel saw last night (Link Here).
For, a YouTube user after 7:30 P.M. keep leaving a comment, “The smoke will be at 9 PM”, which seemed to the rest of us an absurd guess, until the smoke did in fact come out at precisely 9 P.M..
That was not a lucky guess, it was a claim made with certitude which was verified 90 minutes later.
And that implies that someone in the Conclave transmitted that information to someone outside the conclave. Or, that some intelligence agency, had a laser aimed at one of the windows of the Sistine Chapel measuring vibrations on the surface of the glass, which is one method to hear what is said inside rooms, even from great distances. Or, that some sort of tiny drone has been positioned on one of the windows of the Sistine Chapel on the outside, with a device capable of hearing sounds through the glass. Or, if any Cardinal is wearing a hearing-aide, one of them may be bugged and transmitting a signal. The latter four possibilities of this would also require state of the art technology to filter the human voices emanating from within, as well as a good knowledge of Latin, since only Latin is used to speak in the conclave.
Warning bells should be ringing in the Vatican State security offices. And I publish this article to make the grave problem known to the wider world.
