Yes, believe it or not, this is the official photograph of Provost as pope

Editor’s Note: He appears to be suffering from some sort of imbalanced musculature on the right side of the face. — It is highly likely he took multiple DeathVaxxes, since he said, along with Pope Francis, that “it was an act of love”. If so, I prognosticate he will be dead by 2032, in 7 years, from myocardial infraction.

If you noticed how strange this photograph is, you are not alone. Never before in the history of the Papacy did the official photograph of the Pope, which is placed in all the sacristies of all the Churches of the Roman Rite, so that each priest can remember to pray for the pope, has borne such a looney smirk on it. — A sign, in my opinion, that he never received the grace of office, from Christ, the petrine munus, which Christ could not given him, because of his invalid election.

  1. Whoever chose that picture was either no artist or deliberately was sending a subliminal message.
His face on the left side is shining and on the right darker. . His smile is crooked.
    I don’t like that ” official ” picture.

    1. Yeah, now that I come to think of it, it does.

Definition of a smirk, from Vocabulary.com

“A smirk is specific kind of smile, one that suggests self-satisfaction, smugness, or even pleasure at someone else’s unhappiness or misfortune.”

  2. The three cardinals I have heard interviewed about this election gave no indication that Cardinal Provost was elected because of his sanctity. One said “He runs a good meeting.” Another said ,”He understands the bureaucracy of the Curia.” A third said he was “close to Pope Francis,” and a fourth said he “understands the problems facing the world today.” Yet another said he would be able to relate to the American Catholics (and presumably attract their financial support). No one said he was holy. Not one said he was good at preaching the gospel. Not one said he would guard and defend the Church. All they saw was his political value.

    1. Yeah, able to relate to Americans, just wait for Monday, we will show why that is not true and who he is a disciple of and it’s not just Bergoglio, think Chicago.

  3. NOT the facial expression of a man who is comfortable & pleased with his new responsibilites……

To paraphrase a quotation from Abp Fulton Sheen:-
“He is of the ecclesiastical/episcopal intelligentsia – which means he has been promoted beyond his capabilites/competences.”

Whoever within the Vatican chose this sinister image is sending us all a not-too-subtle message, that is to say, this so-called “shepherd” is a wolf in sheep’s clothing……

  4. What is strange is the light is on the left side but the reflection of the light in the eyes is on the right and lower right. I think the image has been manipulated, which is not unusual in making portraits but perhaps there is some AI involved in the process.

    1. To make a professional portrait there are usually several lights in the room, and when done well the Camera should not catch the reflection of them in the eyes.

  5. Our faces are not always symmetrical. i have the same problem which often causes me to inadvertently bite my lip while eating. (very frustrating!🤓) It would be nice to see a side by side of how he looked, say, a decade ago…
