“Mug Shot” of Augustinian Friar Riggitano-Prevost

Editor’s Note: For those of us who are consecrated religious, having gone through canonical formation programs, we understand Provost completely from this one photograph, since, any religious orders, which allows their priest-friars to leave their cells looking like this slob, are totally morally degraded, and have no discipline other than wearing a habit. — Being an Italian American myself, I can also testify that this is the hairdo of a hippie, which was popular on the campuses of secular universities in the last years of the 70’s, and no self-respecting religious or priest would omit combing his hair, as it would disgrace the priesthood. In fact, he seems to have cultivated what would have been considered back then a “sexy” appearance, which worldly men, not intent on keeping chastity, would cultivate so that they could go cruising on Friday and Saturday night, looking for a date or one-night stand.

I predict, therefore, that this will be the fundamental attitude of the anti-Pope Leo XIV regarding priestly formation.

    1. In his official portrait it points to his right side. But in this one it seems to be straight. I cannot explain that.

  1. “If it looks like a duck, walks like a duck, quacks like a duck……?!?”

St Bernadine of Siena, pray for us, and for Holy Mother Church who has been increasingly chastised & spat upon by evil freemasons, modernists, sodomites & paedos over the last seven decades……

Christus vincit; Christus regnat; Christus imperat.

Brother, your typing-program writes “cells” but you probably intended “selves”. “Themselves” perhaps?

Spot on in your analysis nonetheless. That photo is one creepy look. The apple doesn’t fall far from the Riggitano family tree. Reminds me of another photo from tge same family; of his effete intellectual grandpa, creator of the Prevost line, posing like Dostoevsky or Rodin’s Thinker(!):

Worthy of a new post—what’s your take on Grandpa Riggitano alias Prevost?

    1. Thanks. I covered this in a 5 page article the other day.

Check your email, for a letter from me.

  3. Yes I read your article and commended it. I wrote to bring the archival footage—Riggitano Prevost’s Photo; 1917 Quincy Hreald, Illinois news clipping about hid marital, and extramarital exploits; and actual I. N. S. records indicating fraud—to your attention. Glad you put them to good use in supplementing your original article, which was my intent.

Happy Feast of the great San Bernardino of Siena.

    1. Do you know the source of the Newspaper Article, I would like to get it at higher resolution and reprint it entirely here at Rome, in an Italian Translation.

  4. Good idea.

Perhaps gloria.tv could provide attribution of source.

‘Cell’ makes perfect sense. I don’t think of Jebbies living in cells but of course Auggies would as friars.
