News by Br. Alexis Bugnolo
Two of my sources informed me that after Cardinal Riggitano Prevost was “installed” as Roman Pontiff on Sunday May 18, 2025, priests around the world, who mention his name in the Canon, as Leo XIV are being struck with fits of coughing, or the sensation of gagging, or nausea, immediately afterwards.
I myself was witness to one of these cases in a priest in the Rome area, who never, ever, has problems of this kind during Mass. Another case was seen on EWTN during daily mass, when Father Matthew Mary began to choke after naming Leo XIV as Roman Pontiff during the canon.
I ask my readers to send me any information confirming the story above for their parts of the world, wheresoever they be.

I am currently working in the French Caribbean island of Guadeloupe. It is a vibrant, mainly black, congregation novus ordo Mass. The priest is quite orthodox, and what has struck me is that he has not once over the last two Sundays even mentioned Leo XIV’s name in his sermons. The bidding prayers yes, but I get the impression he is not particularly impressed with his eminence.
Here are Rome, also, the Conservative priests have ignored the election and are not speaking of Cardinal Riggitano-Prevost at all. It is as if they are hoping he just goes away.
The only people happy with his election are non-Catholics.
Pray for Bergoglion and Prevost…And,
NOT FOR THEIR INTENTIONS. Short of the ‘Second Coming,’ don’t see how the Holy Spirit can change Prevost and still, there’s always a chance.

Here in Washington D.C. our Priest coughed uncharacteristically for the last two weeks exactly as you described. I was very perplexed by it but now I see an explanation.
