Modern education has been reduced to mind control indoctrination. I think that home schooling or private schooling should be preferred but this form of schooling would only be available for the fortunate few. I was lucky to have an early education by the Sisters of St Francis and the Christian Brothers. Today in my late 70’s I fall back on what I was taught to resist the current heresies that beset the Church which began with Vatican II. I read all your posts with thanks, Br Alexis, in order to keep things straight with my conscience.

I am in my mid-70’s, a convert from the Church of England in 2012. My Anglican parents [may GOD grant their immortal souls eternal rest…] sent their only son to St Philip’s Priory primary school where I was taught by the Servite Sisters between 1956 & 1961 – ‘proper’ nuns with full black habits & wimples etc – and that is where I received my catechesis in the One True Faith. When I attended the obligatory RCIA course prior to my conversion I learnt nothing new but did face the challenge of going to Confession for the first time, in my early 60’s……I mean, where do you even start?!?!
