Prevost’s July Meditation turns Holy Spirit into a Buddhist Guru

Editor’s Note: Try as hard as he may to appear Catholic, Prevost fails every time. In the above video for “Discernment”, Prevost invokes the Holy Spirit so he can obtain a psychological understanding of himself, which he asserts is what God wants.  His approach to the Holy Spirit is the same as a disciple in a Buddhist temple seeking enlightenment.  —  There is absolutely no sense of Christianity’s authentic core message of repentance and faith, penance or sanctification. His discourse moves solely on the plane of this world. And the worst of it is that he does not even realize it, that is, he is so enthralled by a this-worldly view of what the Catholic Religion is about that he cannot even imagine the supernatural goal of eternal salvation. — At the same time, sharing his perversely materalistic spirituality as true devotion to the Holy Spirit and as true Discernment, his publication of this video will victimize countless souls and leave them in the darkness of this world.

Finally, seeing that he glibly blasphemes the Holy Spirit whenever he can, as he did on Pentecost Sunday, one can really wonder what “spirit” he is praying to, because the actions he ascribes to the Holy Ghost, have nothing to do with the Divine Person spoken of in the Gospels and Letters of the Apostles.

  1. Maybe I should start rewriting prayers until things return to normal. For example, here are two paragraphs I just rewrote:

“I ask you for the grace to learn how to pause,
to become aware of the way I act,
of the feelings that dwell within me,
and of the thoughts that overwhelm me
which, so often, I fail to notice.”

–Let your most Holy Will be my will, Father, so that my actions and words and thoughts are purified by your love for me and my neighbors. Grant us all the grace to see that books such as “The Power of Pause” pale in comparison to The Way of The Cross and the writings of the Doctors of the Church. Strengthen me to love you more and more. Open my eyes so that I never fail to love you. Let me suffer, overwhelm me, do as you please to sanctify me as I long to belong to you and not the world.

“Grant me a deeper understanding of what moves me, so that I may reject what draws me away from Christ, and love him and serve him more fully.”

–Grant me a deeper understanding of what moves YOU, Lord, so that I may reject what is not your will, because I love you, Jesus, and desire to serve you for eternity.

    1. Thank you. The supernatural in our prayers rather than earth bound optimism and “feel good protestant emotions “

  2. Or the prayer of St Francis

All highest, glorious God, cast your light into the darkness of our hearts, give us true faith, firm hope, perfect charity and profound humility, so that with wisdom, courage and perception, O Lord, we may do what is truly your holy will. Amen.
