Editor’s Note: Over at Substack there are numerous individuals who refuse to read my articles about the problems in the Conclave, here at FromRome.Info but who have no qualms at all in publishing unending libel and calumnies against me, with innuendoes and false claims to support them. There are few Catholics who actually defend me on the web, but I wish to thank John Rochester for doing that in the comments on the above article. — There is more information about Br. Bugnolo’s personal life and history on the web than nearly any other “Catholic” publisher, but they won’t stop inventing lies and insisting that their lies are true, even after copious refutations or publications. They seem to read the About Page here to merely dig up old lies and republish them. — I really cannot think of a lower moral class of internet commentator than that.

As an aside, I have to laugh at John Lewis, who thinks that WM Review is a publication which contains articles of any sort of interest like the one John quoted in his Substack.

Substack is run out of Taiwan, and it does not appear to respect the GDPR regulations of Europe nor the privacy of its members. So I inform you, that if you want to comment on the article above, first create an entirely new email to conceal your identity and then subscribe to substack, because Substack divulges your email to every publisher at Substack, and sends your email to their emails, which is a violation of GDPR regulations.

For transparency sake, I inform you that at FromRome,info I never receive the email you use to subscribe: it is saved in the database of FromRome.Info and only used to send out notifications to you. I do not save, copy, or store any of this information on any device I use to publish FromRome.Info, to be fully compliant with GDPR regulations.

In the above attacks against me, one writer alleges another falsehood against me, namely that I hold that a validly elected Catholic pope can be deposed, which is false: the reference to my article is faulty, the correct one is thus: https://www.fromrome.info/2018/09/07/yes-a-pope-can-be-canonically-deposed/ where the context regards those not validly elected, usurpers or public heretics.

In general, however, I see that Substack is attracting a lot of writers who claim to be Catholic, but who are anti-clerical. Since Substack does not require writers to identify themselves, when you read an article on that platform, how do you know you are not reading or interacting with one of the many enemies of the Church who is pretending to be Catholic to lead you to damnation? — Thus, in my opinion it is completely untrustworthy platform for information: like a public garbage can compared to a supermarket, so is Substack compared to a website where all the authors are publicly identified and professed cradle-catholics, who admire the Saints, quote the Doctors, accept the perennial Magisterium, quote the official documents of the Church, and don’t presume to tell others what to believe, or pretend to any right.
