So the above recounted story, that on a trip to a priestly ordination, Prevost had no other option than to ask a seminarian to perform a grotesquely immodest act, shows you the fundamentally warped conscience of the man. A man of God, especially a consecrated monk should have a mind formed by modesty. Thus to request such a thing of a seminarian is patently immoral and scandalous for an Augustinian monk or a Bishop.

But as you can see from his photograph, he seems to have a character which is slovenly and not in harmony with his state as a man of God.

But whatever you might think of that, it is certain that Cardinal Prevost is evidently a man who is not prepared even to travel on mountain roads, but is prepared to suggest the obscene. Let that sink it. — No wonder he has been promoting to the dignity of Bishop only men who are sexual perverts or who have perverse ideas about the role of men and women in the Church.

After Vatican II the obligation to wear the religious habit was abolished. I always wondered why, until I figured out that those in favor of such laxity of discipline had a private life with too many scheduled meetings in the evening. In the cover photo of the above article, you can see Prevost dressed as a single layman, with no wedding ring, with an obviously off kind of smile.

I am not a psychologist, but I would not be surprised if such professionals would think that such a request by a priest of a seminarian on the way to an ordination was a sign of something off, too. — I recall the comment of my own mother, who had been trained in childhood psychology as part of her Master’s Degree in Early Childhood Education, when she read on March 15, 2013, that Jorge Mario Bergoglio had gone shopping the day before for underwear and had taken a journalist along with him to document it. She said, “This man has something wrong with him in the head!”, which at the time shocked me, but which turned out more than prophetic.
