Why “believing” in Aliens is the Modern superstition for Pagan Gods

Editor’s Note: Neil deGrasse Tyson, the popular speaker on questions of Science and Astronomy, is an agnostic. But he gives good example to the many foolish Christians who “believe” in U.F.O.s.

Many do not realize that it is an infallible teaching of Scripture that there is no other intelligent life in the Universe other than God, Angels and human beings, and that to hold that there is some intelligent corporeal life other than humans is actually a form of dissent from revealed doctrine, which was condemned in the Middle Ages as a form of heresy. — In fact, in Scripture it says of Earth, that “God made it to be lived in”, indicating that He made nothing else to be lived in:

Isaiah 45:18: “For this is what the LORD says— He who created the heavens, He is God; He Who fashioned and made the Earth, He founded it; He did not create it to be empty, but formed it to be inhabited— He says: “I am the LORD, and there is no other.

The fundamental cosmological truth contained in Divine Revelation is that this world exists only to fulfill God’s plans. Those “Christians” who think otherwise, simply do not grasp or pay attention to the meaning of Revelation or the purpose of life as God has explained it. This is not an anti-scientific theory. This is simply revealed cosmology. And the Creator has not only a right to make the Universe as He wishes, but for the purpose He wishes. The opinion of men has nothing to do with it.

The lesson to be learned from studying the heavens, as Astronomers and Cosmologist do, could be phrased well, thus: “If God has created all the wonders of the Universe, but has so arranged everything, for the benefit of man alone, then every individual human being is so precious in God’s sight, that He must have a very deep reason of love for doing all of this.”

And the response to such contemplation was already answered in the Gospel according to Saint John: “For God so loved the world, that He sent His Only-Begotten Son … so that all might believe in Him and have eternal life. (John Chapter 1, paraphrased).

On the other hand, those who say that the Universe is so big, there has to be life out there somewhere, are also the kind of people who deceive the public about the realities of nature; for the distances to all the stars are so vast that there is no way to travel from there to us, or from Earth to those places, in such wise as to remain alive for the trip: for example, even the nearest star is so far away, that it would take 6000 years to travel there, and it is impossible to build a craft that could feed and support a population of humans for 6000 years during the trip. Contrariwise, it is impossible that any life from there, travel from the stars to visit the Earth, for the very same reason.

Moreover, it is impossible for human beings to survive for long off the Earth, since our very bodies require gravity of the measure found on Earth, to live. Even trips to Mars, which are possible, would put the human organism under such duress that the Astronauts would likely suffer highly lethal conditions, from lack of gravity and exposure to solar radiation. And yet, Mars is 29,000 times closer than the nearest Star system, Alpha Centauri!

Thus, the assertion that aliens could be visiting the Earth is not only against scripture, it is also unsupported by anything scientific. — And those who keep saying, “Maybe one day we will have the technology ….”, are merely replacing both Christian Faith and Science with a superstitious hope .

  1. Hello Br,

Yes. I’m fascinated by the sightings of ‘aliens’. Some of my family saw ‘aliens’ when they were younger. I do believe they saw something. However I do believe they were demons. A long time ago , I saw a documentary. I think this is it – https://youtu.be/e21yg0Y_DyQ?si=uc7vd2Ny5lg7Po1z

Whereby they equate the experiences and sightings to demons. This one person felt more and more hopeless and felt despair as this ‘alien’ got closer and closer etc . I think it was this documentary.

But don’t demons rule the skies too? The ones that felt a tiny bit remorse didn’t fall as far and captures or reside in the skies. The ones that didn’t feel remorse fell to the bottomless pit. Is this theologically sound ?

    God bless 🙏

    1. The Saints said that Lucifer was a lord of the air, others that he was the Angel which God set to guard the Earth. Medievals thought he was the cause of rotting fruit and crops.

But, in dreams and in real life, yes, God sometimes permits demons to be seen, but they can not take corporeal form, as that is beyond their power. And God never permits them to have human feet, unlike the Seraphim Raphael, whom we know from the book of Tobit can take corporeal form for a long time and appear just like a man. Saint Michael the Archangel is also known to have this power. And Saint Gabriel certain has it, too, as we know from the Annunciation he made to Our Lady.

But if someone says they saw UFOs, they saw some sort of test aircraft, meteor, falling star, or space junk. And if they say they saw aliens, and do not mean illegal immigrants, then I would assume they were taking drugs, hallucinating, or saw a human in a costume.

  2. I recently attended a Mass on the Feast of the Assumption, at a church I do not regularly attend.

Believe it or not, the priest, during his sermon, referred to the Blessed Virgin, as ‘an Earthling’ who ‘made it to Heaven.’! He then stated that we (the congregation) should think about that.

    I won’t be returning.
