Editor’s Note: Ever since Father Altman’s preaching went viral, I have featured reports and writings of this priest who is so militant for the truth. At the same time, many readers have asked me whether I think he was sincere or not, since he avoided the legal controversy over whether Pope Benedict XVI remained the pope or not, while he lived.
I can report that when he was thinking of coming to Rome, some years ago, that his staff did contact me, about a possible meeting. But shortly after that his staff went silent and have never responded to me again, though I keep sharing with them information, especially this year about the invalid conclave.
Make what you will from the Twitter exchange above, where @B16Restore, the Twitter account for the “Committee to restore Pope Benedict XVI”, founded in April of 2022, asked simple question, about Father Altman’s book, and got this, obviously praeter rem reply, since, yes, Father Altman recognizes Prevost’s election as canonically valid.
“Praeter rem” is the Latin phrase used to name the Sophistic error of argumentation, first listed by Aristotle, in his Elenchae, in which a speaker who cannot justify himself with any sound reason, replies by saying something which is besides the point and irrelevant. “Praeter rem” in Latin means, “besides the thing”, where “thing” means anything vague or the affair or matter at hand.
Click the above image to see the original Tweet. I have screen-shot it here for posterity sake. — You can read the Bull of Nicholas II, here. — The question from @B16Restore was on the thread by Father Altman announcing his new book, “Treasures of the Catholic Faith”, which he says should be available in the United States of America, on Amazon, by the beginning of November. The question itself was rhetorical, since an English translation of the Bull of Nicholas II is not in the public domain for him to quote or cite. And I surely doubt, at this point, that he will ask me for permission to use my translation in future editions.
Father Altman’s rejection of Papal Teaching follows what appears to be a coordinated Vatican Media Blitz to get traditionalists to publicly apostatize from the Faith, in recent weeks, such as Cardinal Eijk, Archbishop Lenga, Cardinal Burke, etc..
The @B16Restore account continues on a daily basis to challenge and unmask the USAID narrative supporting Twitter accounts, one by one. Here is their recent challenge to the entity which claims to be “Chris Jackson” (a name which means, ‘the annointed son of Jakob’):

Priests please see this video on the stigmata channel …The terrifying vision saint Theresa had durind Mass…….and everybody must watch……….specialy cardinals,, bishops, antipope Prevost and all priests……..,
A new priest ordained by Cardinal Burke gave me a stern rebuke in confession a few days ago for having neglected to bring the knowledge of the invalid Conclave of 2013 to confession when I first became aware in 2017. This priest clearly knows the truth and is using his priestly ministry to defend it and those who have been spiritually abused. That is, within the confines of what is possible.
Wow. — To be clear, it is a most grave violation of the Sacrament of Penance and is a crime of spiritual abuse, for any priest, at any Confession, whether after you begin the sacrament, with the words, “Father, forgive me for I have sinned”, after which everything you say is bound by the seal of Confession never to be revealed by the priest, even if threatened with death or torture, to use that time to ask you any information which is not necessary to determine the number of your sins and against which commandment, and their gravity, venial or mortal: and this prohibition includes your opinions about the validity or invalidity of ecclesiastical elections, the authority to judge your conscience on such things being ENTIRELY outside the jurisdiction of the Confessional UNLESS you are addicted to lying and making up facts or laws, or if you could vote in such an election and did violate the law and are confessing your sin in that matter.
The rest is spiritual abuse of the highest order, because Christ wants us to know the truth and be set free by the truth. The priest, if I understand you aright, was trying to fault you for believing the truth? If so, he is a member of the Lavender Mafia, like Burke himself.
No, I felt vindicated by this priest, not abused. I confessed the sin of omission of neglecting to bring my awareness of the fact that Pope Francis was not the Pope to confession. This isn’t a lie, nor am I addicted to lying. It was cowardice and hypocrisy. At that time, I was afraid the priest would tell me that I shouldn’t come to Mass, if that is how I believed. Even if he did, he could not forbidden me from attending Mass. The newly ordained priest was indicating, if I understood him correctly, that he knows that Pope Francis was not canonically elected and it was wrong of me not to bring it to confession. It was a very weird way of being vindicated. I don’t like all these mind games. But, this priest would be fired instantly if he spoke in plain language about invalid elections of 2013 and 2025. I just came from the Confirmation Mass at this parish where the Bishop, who is now the Apostolic Administrator, was quoting Pope Francis left and right. I prayed for the Confirmandi that they will be able to recognize the new Pope when he is elected by Apostolic Right.
