A Financial & Legal Analysis by Br. Alexis Bugnolo
As readers of FromRome.Info will remember, I predicted an election of an American during my interview with Dr. Jane Ruby, last week. I made this prognostication on the basis of the imminent bankruptcy of the Vatican and the need to elect someone who would open the doors of the big Charities in the United States.
However, unwittingly, the Bergoglian Faction did elect an American, but the wrong guy.
How wrong Cardinal Prevost is was seen during the moment he came out on the Loggia of Saint Peter’s Basilica, yesterday afternoon, 22 hours ago.
I noticed immediately. Among the Cardinals visible on the balconies, there were no American Cardinals, even though the United States has some famous Cardinals.
Nor were there any Cardinals standing side by side with the newly elected man.
And all this is very very significant.
You, see, Richard Prevost has a terrible record on handling cases of sexual abuse: from serial pedophiles in the U.S.A. to a priest in Peru who liked raping nuns. And he has been involved in intricate maneuvers to protect the perps so that they can perpetrate crimes over and over with impunity.
Now if you are an American Cardinal, the last thing you want to do, is to be seen standing next to such a man, since that would imply you voted for him. And if you were photographed with him, that photo would one day end up in Court in the U.S.A. used by a lawyer defending a victim of sexual abuse, to show the Judge how callous the Cardinal is when he claims to be doing everything to protect children.
The lawyer could easily say, “Look him standing next to Leo XIV, the serial protector of serial abusers”. And the Judge would probably double or triple the monetary judgements against the Cardinal’s diocese, for it.
And, no doubt, even the lawyers of all these Cardinals know this. And probably told their employers before they went to Rome to not be seen with anyone elected who has a bad record on handling abuse.
But the consequence of this is very noticeable to Catholics in America. I can tell you it is more than surprising that the American Cardinals were not to be seen standing next to the first American elected pope.
And little by little the ugly truth is going to get out, because we Americans talk much more freely about men in the Church than is acceptable in most Catholic nations.
And when the laymen and women who manage the Charities which used to donate millions up millions to the Vatican get wind of all of this, they will look elsewhere to donate their monies, lest, some reporter working at some newspaper or TV station, finds out and runs a story, like, “Wealthy Catholic Charity, which claims to have family values, caught funding Pope who mishandled priest who raped multiple boys”.
And that will be the end of 60% of the funds from in the Vatican coffers, which are already down 50% from the United States of America.
So in electing Cardinal Prevost, they have doomed themselves financially and in their international reputation. No one, not even us devout Catholics are going to take them seriously ever again.
I won’t even mention that Cardinal Prevost won’t even have a magisterium: because no one but a Catholic faker would take seriously anything such an evil, corrupt, pervert protector would say about morality, just as no one in their right mind takes the counsels of a Mafioso about how to deal with the property of others.
