A Commentary on the prophecies of Bl. Emmerich – Part I

This series will have four installments, one for each paragraph of the prophecies given to Bl. Emmerich in 1820 and 1822 regarding the crisis of the two popes

On what would be the future date of the first apparition of Our Lady at Fatima 97 years later, Our Lady revealed the future of the Church to Bl. Anne Catherine Emmerich:

May 13, 1820: “I saw the relationship between the two Popes. I saw how baleful would be the consequences of this false church. I saw it increase in size; heretics of every kind came into the city (of Rome). The local clergy grew lukewarm, and I saw a great darkness. Then, the vision seemed to extend on every side. Whole Catholic communities were being oppressed, harassed, confined, and deprived of their freedom. I saw many churches close down, great miseries everywhere, wars and bloodshed. A wild and ignorant mob took to violent action. But it did not last long.“ „Once more I saw the Church of Peter was undermined by a plan evolved by the secret sect, while storms were damaging it. But I saw also that help was coming when distress had reached its peak. I saw again the Blessed Virgin ascend on the Church and spread Her mantle [over it]. I saw a Pope who was at once gentle, and very firm . . . I saw a great renewal, and the Church rose high in the sky.“

Let’s unpack this prophecy and consider what it may mean. No one can give certain interpretations of such thins however, except by the gift of God.

Two popes …. this false church. The implication is clearly that the false church is headed by one of these two popes.

I saw it increase in size; heretics of every kind came into the city (of Rome). — This is the constant parade of globalists and heretics which Bergoglio is inviting to the Vatican and installing in positions of power in the Roman Curia and in the Diocese of Rome.

The local clergy grew lukewarm, and I saw a great darkness. — The clergy of Rome have indeed become indifferent to the crisis of a patently heretical heretic loving pope. The truth of the Gospel is now being actively suppresses. This great darkness is surely all these things but especially the alteration of the Our Father, in Italian, which Bergoglio intends to impose upon the Diocese this April.

Then, the vision seemed to extend on every side. Whole Catholic communities were being oppressed, harassed, confined, and deprived of their freedom. I saw many churches close down, — She is now shown in vision what will happen to the whole Church, both in the East and in the West.  The Bergoglio’s pact with China has opened a massive persecution there, Churches closed and destroyed, Catholics arrested and put under house arrest if not thrown into prison. Also many religious communities in the west suppressed by the Vatican. Finally, the Corona Virus response has been to close the Churches in many dioceses and stop all sacramental celebrations.

great miseries everywhere, wars and bloodshed. — We should expect terrible upheavals in the world soon: wars and rebellions and plagues. The Corona Virus itself can become much more leathal in just 48 hours, if God permits this to punish humanity.

A wild and ignorant mob took to violent action. But it did not last long. — Whether this refers to riots and where, is not clear. Here in Italy there is already an Italian verison of Antifa which gathers and performs violent riots to keep the universally hated left wing government in power.

Once more I saw the Church of Peter was undermined by a plan evolved by the secret sect, while storms were damaging it. — Here she calls the true Church, the Church of Peter, to signify that one of these two popes is the true successor of Saint Peter, the other is an imposter. The secret sect is clearly the St. Gallen Mafia, but one cannot exclude the Masonic Lodge or the Lavender Mafia.

But I saw also that help was coming when distress had reached its peak. I saw again the Blessed Virgin ascend on the Church and spread Her mantle [over it] — I cannot fail to note that on the facade of the Basilica of Santa Maria Maggiore, Our Lady’s statue is placed at its peak.  In that Basilica is found the ancient Icon of Our Lady Salus Populi, which is said to be painted by Saint Luke, and whose title means: Salvation of the people.  Romans fly to this basilica in times of strife, war and plague to ask Her help.

I saw a Pope who was at once gentle, and very firm . . . I saw a great renewal, and the Church rose high in the sky.“ — Whether this refers to Pope Benedict, or his successor is not clear. But from it we can gather that Bergoglio is certainly not it. The image of the Church rising high in the sky, refers to the return of the splendor of the Church in holiness and conformity to God’s Will, seeking the salvation of souls and practicing chastity and celibacy which detach Her from the base desires of the earth.

The error of Laicism

Vatican II unleashed a host of errors. One of them was laicism.

I am not speaking of the European political concept of laicism, which refers to the concept of a state which is not Catholic or religious in its affiliation, but which is secularist. No, I am speaking about the kind which regards the disordered relationship of the laity to the clergy.

Laicism is the idea that the laity should run the Church or can hold offices in the Church, or worse, that they can be as effective or more effective than clergy in the work of the Gospel.

Laicism as an error is completely foreign to Catholicism. It comes from the protestant sects who rejected the priesthood of Christ as something which men could share by the Sacrament of Orders.

In the English speaking world, laicism is a more common error, because there are so many Protestants who convert to the Catholic Faith but keep the error of laicism, because since they made money off religion as protestant laymen, they want to keep making money off religion as catholic laymen.

Laicism is also common in Catholic Media, because social media is a do it by yourself sort of thing, and that allows laymen to begin to assume teaching and preaching roles which do not belong to them.

Obviously, no where in the Gospel is there the least shred of support for the idea that the laity have any role of responsibility in the preaching or teaching of the Church. Yes, they are to give personal witness, but no, they should not take initiatives on their own.

However, the general corruption of the clergy since Vatican II has made the Catholic way of doing things very difficult if not impossible. Seminaries have become institutions to teach vocations not to believe, to accept modernism and to go along with sexual perversion, so long as it is kept generally hidden from the laity.

For that reason 99% of laity today probably do not have a pastor who wants to convert anyone to the Catholic faith AND knows how to do it AND has the time to organize any effort. He is straddled with keeping the parish running with all the demands for the Sacraments upon fewer and fewer clergy.

But this is the malicious feedback of laicism. Because laicism destroys vocations.

Laicism teaches that a young man can start his own apostolate and get a job maybe in the parish. No need for personal commitment of celibacy or the evangelical vows of religion!

Laicism is also exacerbated by the abolition of minor orders.

The Catholic way of things has in practice been abandoned by the clergy who followed Vatican II instead of Catholic tradition. The way back to catholic practice in the apostolate REQUIRES the restoration of the minor orders, not as mere sacramentals of prestige, but as true apostolates and missions.

A local Church which is properly functioning will then have no lone priest serving in the Parish, he will have several dozen men in minor orders — thus no longer laymen — to help him in everything and everywhere he goes.

Until that kind of way of being Church returns, Catholics who wish to defend the Faith or promote a work of mercy need to be very careful not to arrogate to themselves any authority. They need to be humble and not promote their own views contrary to that of any Doctor or Father of the Church. They have to have the common sense not to support members of the Lavender Mafia, or those in denial about Bergoglio.

The natural inclination of good laymen will always be to always defer to the priest. That is a good inclination, but in times of heresy, apostasy or moral depravity, one must be cautious and prudent. Because true obedience is for the upbuilding of the Church, not collaboration in destroying it.

In the mean time, Catholics should listen only to laymen or laywomen who are citing Church documents and Canon Law and showing due respect for the teaching of the Saints, the Doctors and the Fathers of the Church. Those who play games in such matters, should be shunned.

The error of laicism needs to be stamped out. Authentic catholic apostolates will oppose this error and speak against it. Where this error is not opposed, the result will be the death of the local church.

One of the great effects of laicism is in thinking that Pope Benedict XVI is no longer the pope, because he renounced the same thing which a layman renounces when he gives up heading an apostolate at his local parish. Laicism makes Catholics forget that Jesus gave real spiritual powers of governance and mission in the Church called munera which only the clergy can hold and exercise. The singular of munera is munus, not ministry.

Corona Virus on the way to becoming a Pandemic

Today marks the first day that all schools in Italy will be closed for 2 weeks, to prevent the spread of Corona Virus-19 a new strain that is more deadly than the one in China.

The danger is not to children, however. It is to the elderly.  Italy has the highest concentration of elderly persons, over 65, than any country in Europe.

The latest statistics show that the mortality rate of Corona-19 is 3.5% of the total population, but a large chunk of the population does not develop symptoms which would lead to hospitalization.

The mortality rate, however, among the elderly is much higher. For those 70-79 it is 8%, and for those who are 80+ it is 14%.

Corona Virus 19, therefore, will be a true place against the most vulnerable and best members of our race: our grandfathers and grandmothers, our fathers and mothers. Those who have the most wisdom and prudence, acquired over many years.

Keep yourself informed! The news develops daily. This virus can mutate every 48 hours into a new strain, more or less deadly, depending on how its genes change.

In Italy the percentage of elderly over 65 years of age is 25%. This means that 15.125 million Italians are at risk of a mortality rate of at least 3.8%. Or a death toll of 150 thousand this year, about 6 times higher than the normal death toll for this demographic.

There is a real scare now in Italy, and I think if these stats are reliable, on mortality rates, that it is justified.

Pope Benedict XVI has been put under special quarantine on account of his advanced age. Pilgrims to the Vatican have nearly totally disappeared. Bergoglio has a bad case of this winter’s flu and if he be exposed to the Corona Virus, his chances of survival would be much reduced.

Moreover, 36% of the 32 thousand priests in Italy are over 70 years of age. So we could be seeing around as 1000 priests fall to the Corona Virus. Priests are especially vulnerable since they are in constant contact with the general population.

For the laity, however, most Italian senior citizens live on limited budgets, they do not eat well or heat their homes sufficiently in order to save money. They are thus highly vulnerable. They are also more likely to get sick on account of germs spread by their grand children, germs which the children spread in Schools.

So I think that the Italian government did the right thing, but, the problem is, that the virus will spread and eventually infect everyone.

For this reason, I ask everyone of my readers to join me in praying to Our Lady of Lourdes for the people of Italy.

I buried my mom just 16 months ago, so I am very sensitive to the needs of the elderly. And when I see so many of them walk by me on the side walk, who look malnourished, lonely and without hope, I can see that the Corona Virus pandemic will ravage Italy’s best of the best.

Pray, therefore, to Our Lady to spare all of them, but especially those who are not yet ready to meet the Lord. And to grant the grace to all to make a good confession and have a change of heart!

And let us not doubt that this virus as been allowed by God to punish the wicked and call men to repentance. So go to confession, while priests are still hearing confessions!

40 Days of prayer against the Church of Darkness — Day 37

Anna-Katerina Emmerich had this vision in 1820, before the invention of time zones, midnight here should be understood in solar time, which at Rome makes midnight occur at 12:22 AM, presently, and thus the hour of midnight would be 11:52 AM to 12:52 AM. Try to say your prayers in that hour.

The Mask at the Vatican has been ripped off

Vatican showed its hand
in suppressing Grex Vocum on Feb. 11, 2020

On Feb. 11, 2020, Catholics at Rome organized an event in the Piazza San Pietro for all who wanted to exercise their canonical rights, as per canon 212, in expressing their opinions about the course in which the Church has been led by Vatican officials in the last 7 years. The event was called, Grex Vocum — A flock of voices. I reported on it prior to the event here, here, here and here.

Here was my opening short Video that day:

The action was not in violation of any law of Vatican City or the Republic of Italy, and was in perfect harmony with Canon Law and the Catholic faith.

Now that I have had a month to speak with numerous witnesses who were in the Piazza that day, I can add to my previous report, which I filed here and to the two video reports I have so far recorded: one in Italian by Massimo Testarotta, the intrepid Italian professor who was my interpreter and able defense during interrogation (here in Italian) and another by a Roman Catholic who was in the piazza that morning (here in English).

I have numerous confirmations that the Secretary of State asked the Italian State Police to accost anyone in the Piazza that morning who affirmed that they had come for the Grex Vocum event. They were given instructions to attempt to arrest or prevent their participation by finding any lawful reason to detain them or ask them to leave the piazza. It was a concerted effort of at least a dozen police officers. Whether Swiss Guard or Vatican Police in plains clothes were present or participating is not known. Though the total number may have included as many as 40 plains clothes men.

I believe from certain evidence in the testimonies I had and from what I myself saw, that the perpetrator of the persecution was the sostituto of the Secretary of State, Mons. Parra, a citizen of Venezuela who was recently promoted to his position by Parolin, the Vatican Nuncio to Venezuela at the request of the Cardinal of Buenas Aries who has taken up residence in the Vatican and has seized its organs of government. (I speak here according to the canonical reality, for Mons. Parra’s benefit).

One eye witness who showed me photographs, confirmed for me that about a dozen police officers were tasked with leading me away. I cannot say that I was arrested, because technically I was only asked in for questioning. And it was not interrogation, they say, since that is used for those caught in an act of crime, whereas in my case they were trying to catch me in an act of crime.

The only journalist there was a reporter for the Associated Press. She told me that she had been tipped off that it would be a big event. She asked to interview me, but never followed up. My report on that is here. I am of the opinion that her attempt to report was squashed also by the Vatican. She could not interview me without risking her press credentials at the Vatican.

No Trad Inc. reporters or members were there.  Dr. Roberto de Mattei who is always lamenting about the Church during the last 7 years, and who lives at Rome was not there! Other members of his institute were not there. Neither was Pentin, Montagna or any Vaticanista. The Assosciated Press was the only ones with the courage and a full camera crew on the scene. Even they were shocked when I was taken away. It was clearly a violation of my rights as a journalist, though technically since I am not a professional, I do not have such rights in Italy!

The Vatican was too afraid to risk their own police to arrest me or interrogate me. I guess they feared what might happen if I started explaining canon 332 §2 to anyone in private! And for good reason, as I has already gifted a large religious banner as a Christmas present to the Swiss Guard, explaining that Benedict is still the pope! So I think it is safe to guess I am on a watch list and a black list, and perhaps soon a hit list. Thanks be to God!

None of the Faithful who were accosted were doing anything illegal and in most cases were not even expressing their views against anyone. They were waiting for the event to begin. Their only “crime” was saying they had come for Grex Vocum.

This outrageous behavior confirms that the Vatican is now occupied by forces which are inimical to the observance of Canon Law, free speech and the Catholic Faith. And that those in charge are well aware of the great discontent of the faithful, and will use any means necessary to suppress dissent, discontent or even public expression of opinion.

These are the tactics of a peronist or marxist dictatorship.

All the talk about the God of Mercy and listening to the peripheries has now been shown by this police tactic to be a bunch of lies and propaganda. The mask at the Vatican has been ripped off! They are a foreign power, not men of God or clergy of the Roman Catholic Church.

This event also proved that Trad Inc is 100% pretense. Because they sell lamentations and criticisms to get your money and train you to shut up and do nothing and buckle under. Because they could have come to Grex Vocum, but did not. Not a single one of them.

CitizenFreePress.com censors PPBXVI truth

I never heard of CitizenFreePress.com, so my curiosity was irked when I say 97 hits in a few hours from that site here at FromRome.Info to a single post about Pope Benedict XVI being the true pope.

So I back traced the link to the page, and found   ….  NOTHING, no reference or link to FromRome.Info.

So I googled the page and found that at least 14 hours ago, there was a comment by a  commentor asking them to take a look at Brian Murphy’s Video: Why Benedict is still the Pope, which is now in 12 languages.

Here is the proof the comment existed:

I suppose, from this, that Citizen Free Press is more Press than Citizen.

Kane seems to be the Admin and Editor of the site. For Kane, some truth is just too shocking, it has to be kept from the masses. Everyone must accept Bergoglio and his politics of unbridled immigration!

5 Questions for Bishop Schneider & Dr. Taylor Marshall

Over at Catholic Monitor, Fred Martinez has cut through all the deception and lying of Bishop Schneider and Dr. Taylor Marshall in their recent YouTube Video, and has proposed to them 5 yes or no Questions, and asked them publicly to respond.

His article is entitled, Do Marshall and Schneider think they are greater theologians than Doctors of the Church, Sts. Robert Bellarmine and Francis de Sales?

This article follows upon Martinez’ rebuttal of their arguments in several articles:

  1. Why did Taylor Marshall Chicken Out in Questioning Bp. Schneider on the Bellarmine teaching on Heretical Popes Ceasing to be Pope?

5 Questions for Bishop Schneider and Dr. Taylor Marshall

I urge all Catholics to confront these men on social media and in email and in person. Also share these questions with all who claim to find their false arguments to be convincing. The faith is in danger by the errors spread by these two men.

Fred Martinez writes:

To make it really easy for them it has been formatted so that they only have to answer: yes or no.

1. Doctor of the Church St. Francis de Sales said “The Pope… when he is explicitly a heretic… the Church must either deprive him or as some say declare him deprived of his Apostolic See.” Was St. Francis de Sales a Sedevacantist or a schismatic? Answer: yes or no.

2. “Universal Acceptance” theologian John of St. Thomas said “This man in particular lawfully elected and accepted by the Church is the supreme pontiff.” Was John of St. Thomas for saying “the supreme pontiff” must be BOTH “lawfully elected and accepted by the Church” a Sedevacantist or a schismatic? Answer: yes or no.

3. Do you think that a “supreme pontiff” if “universally accepted” is still Pope if, to quote papal validity expert Arnaldo Xavier de Silveira on “dubious election[s]”, that he is “a woman… a child… a demented person… a heretic… a apostate… [which] would [thus] be invalid[ed] by divine law”? Answer: yes or no.

4. Renowned Catholic historian Warren Carroll agreed with Bishop René Gracida on the determining factor for discerning a valid conclave for a valid papal election besides divine law. Carroll pronounced:

“But each Pope, having unlimited sovereign power as head of the Church, can prescribe any method for the election of his successor(s) that he chooses… A papal claimant not following these methods is also an Antipope.”

Are renowned historian Carroll and Bishop Gracida for saying this Sedevacantists or schismatics? Answer: yes or no.

5. Is Bishop Gracida really a Sedevacantist and schismatic for convincingly demonstrating that there is valid evidence that Pope John Paul II’s conclave constitution “Universi Dominici Gregis” which “prescribe[d].. [the] method for the election of his successor(s)” was violated and must be investigated by Cardinals? Answer: yes or no.

Answer or show you are a fraud!

Fred Martinez is an excellent master of rhetoric. He knows how to posit a question, the answer to which will expose the one to whom it is addressed either as a liar or force him to admit that he was lying and take back his lie. It’s inescapable debating style.

Consequently, short of an act of public repentance, I think that neither the Bishop nor the Doctor will respond to Fred’s 5 Questions. And that means, that neither should you follow the Bishop or Doctor anymore, because by their silence they show themselves to be dishonest liars. For an honest liar should admit at least in public that he is lying.

Defend Bergoglio, become Bergoglio.

Zealously defend Bergoglio, become worse than Bergoglio.

Here is a prime example:

I replied to Schneider’s ridiculous in my critique entitled, Bishop Schneider, you Essay is a porridge of falsehood and presumption, where I showed his entire argument was based on false information, fake news, and the complete rejection not only of causality but of canon law. His illusions are totally debunked by what Pope Benedict did in fact say and not say, as I have shown on two occasions (here and here).

For Schneider the truth of the canonical meaning of a papal act is found not in the act itself, but in how others consider and accept the act or react to the act. He is a nominalist of highest order. For him a thing has no being or essence, only an effect.

But for Sammons to say what he says, is pure shamelessness. He is inventing a new sect, in which the Church’s own Canon Law is meaningless, but the will of the Cardinals is the definition of reality.

As for Dr. Taylor, in November last year he himself admitted Bellarmine is right about a heretic losing the office of the papacy, but now with Schneider in front of him, he fails to even admit that but lets Schneider trash Bellarmine a doctor of the Church! Both Sammons and Schneider are not fooling anyone with a shred of Christian faith. Our Religion is based on facts, evidence, truth and Divine Revelation. The words of Jesus Christ to Saint Peter: whatsoever you bind on earth shall be bound in Heaven, apply to Canon Law most of all, since by the Code of Canon Law, Pope John Paul II intended to bind the entire Church of the Roman Rite.

And no one can overthrow the words of Jesus Christ!

Bishops Schneider and Sammons and whomsoever attack that which is bound in Heaven are doing the work of Satan, who opposes the law of Heaven.

They are simply not Catholic. But they are worse than simple unbelievers.

Trad Inc. has passed through its final transformation. They are at war with God Himself.

The Marks of the Church of the Antichrist

The Aggiornamento was allegedly for the purpose of increasing the pastoral efficacy of the  Church so that in the modern world, She and Her message of salvation would be better understood.

But what the Aggiornamento was really about was introducing the demonic, the satanic, the secular and the atheistic in to the Church and enuring us to it.

Take for example the inexplicable alterations in the text of the Mass on key doctrinal points:

  1. In the Sanctus, they replaced Lord God Sabaoth with Lord God of the Universe. — But “god of the universe” is the Biblical name for Satan. — This change has been now undone in the English version, but remains in the others.
  2. In the very words of institution, to consecrate the wine, they replaced for the many with for all— altering the very words of God, Who knows well that He did not offer His Blood for all, since some are not destined to eternal life. —  By this change they implied the Most Sacred Blood of Christ is spilled needlessly and uselessly for the servants of Satan, as if Christ Himself was a worker of sacrilege. — This change was ordered by Pope Benedict to be corrected, but they refused to do it.
  3. They replaced the salutation, And with your spirit with And also with you — an error which is now corrected in the English but not in the other languages — to imply that you do not have an immortal soul.

I could add a host of other evidence, such as the image for the recent unHoly Year of Mercy celebrated by the anti-Pope, Bergoglio, which featured an obscene and diabolic image, of a christ carrying another man over his shoulders and sharing One Eye with him. To Bergoglians, Jesus Christ is a man who snatches other men or boys and takes them home to be used as pieces of meat, evidently.

These are just a very few of the inexplicable changes that they told us to accept, ignore and tolerate. But now that Bergoglio has worshipped Pachamama in a solemn ritual in the Vatican Gardens and introduced demon worship into Saint Peter’s itself, the masque has been torn off the true agenda of Vatican II and the Aggiornamento.

That spirit has now taken corporeal form with the Bergoglian Church and has supplanted and taken possession of vast parts of the Mystical Body, beginning with the Vatican and extending through Bishops and priests down to the faithful. The evil is coming from the Vatican itself.

The next change is the Our Father itself: Bergoglio wants all to recognize that he has authority to change the prayer composed by the ETERNAL SON OF GOD. That request is completely blasphemous and diabolic. Those who accept it will be formal heretics and apostates for having rebelled against the authority of God Himself in a matter of pure religion of the first order of importance.

For all those who are in communion with Bergoglio, this is what you are in communion with. Please do not call it the Catholic Church, for that would be to add blasphemy upon blasphemy.

Socci: Bergoglio is not acting as the Vicar of Christ, but as an agent of Peking

“Devastating” is not the word. “Frontal attack” would be the better term to describe Antonio Socci’s editorial yesterday criticizing Bergoglio’s manner of governing, or lack thereof. What irks Socci, as an Italian — for Italians have a wonderful sense of human compassion as their principal concern  before all others — is the victims of the Corona Virus in Italy and their families, about which Bergoglio said nothing in his Sunday addresses.

And so Socci goes for the jugular, as we say in American English:

Bergoglio does not react as a pastor, a father, a Vicar of Christ, but rather as a politician.

Harsher words were never said of a Roman Pontiff in a thousand years. And again, speaking of him and the Chinese President:

There is one thing that unites Bergoglio and Xi Jinping, according to the analysis of Antonio Pilati, and it is also applicable to the current ruling government in Italy: The government is already tottering, it has stood and is standing solely because of the forces which support it. One is China, the other is the Vatican, which today has a politic very much directed toward China.

Socci makes other cogent observations worth reading. His editorial can be summed up as an Italian way of asking the question and answering it at the same time: Who put you in power? is proven by whom you serve when in power.

Leading Newspaper at Rome shows Benedict XVI as Pope in news report

The house of lies and frauds upon which Bergoglio stakes his claim to the papacy is crumbling fast. The leading Roman Daily Newspaper, which is left wing and generally pro-Bergoglian on all topics, has chosen to challenge the regime on a crucial point.

And they have done it in a particularly Italian way.

They ran a story about concern for the health of the Pope Benedict XVI.

Not a story about the health of Pope Francis.

They also mean to speak about Pope Benedict XVI, because instead of using a photograph of Pope Benedict as he looks today, they dug up an old photo from before Feb. 28, 2013, when he was wearning the simar, the white papal caperone which is worn above the white papal tunic.

The simar is the sign of one who holds jurisdication. The photo means that Pope Benedict is the Supreme Pontiff, the Roman Pontiff, the Vicar of Christ and the Successor of Saint Peter.

And just in case you did not get the implication of the photo, they chose a photo which is unusual: one in which the wind of the Holy Spirit catches the simar and inflates it to maximum size:

How Bergoglians want Canon 332 §2 to read

I find it very useful in arguments over legal interpretations, to restate the law verbatim and then state the law as each side wants it to read. So let’s do that with Canon 332 §2, the canon from the Code of Canon Law promulgated by Pope John Paul II in 1983: a Code which all parties to the controversy recognize as binding and authoritative and backed up by the authority of Jesus Christ, Who said to Saint Peter: whatsoever you bind on Earth, shall be bound in Heaven.

First, how the Canon is wanted to be in the minds of those who say Benedict is not the pope. I will give all the versions I have seen presented in the arguments or assertions I have seen published. Please note: no one claims that the Canon’s text is as what follows, they just argue as if it means that which what follows would explicitly say:

If it ever happens that the Pope stops being the pope, the only thing required for validity is that afterwards he says he did it freely.

If it ever happens that the Pope gives up being the pope, the only thing required is that all the Cardinals agree he is no longer the pope.

If it ever happens that the Pope resigns, there is required for validity that he says he is longer pope, but not that he stops dressing as the Pope, signing as the Pope, and giving blessings as the Pope.

If it happens that the Roman Pontiff renounce, there is required for validity that he did so freely, used the verb renounce, resign, give up, or leave etc., but not that he names what he renounces, resigns, gives up or leaves.

If it happens that the Cardinals say the Roman Pontiff has resigned, there is required for validity only that the Pope also say he is no longer the pope.

I think you can understand what their argument is.

Now here is that same canon, according to the arguments of those who say Pope Benedict XVI is still the pope.

If it happen that the Roman Pontiff renounces his munus, there is required for validity that the renunciation be done freely and manifested duly, but not that it be accepted by anyone whomsoever.

Now here is the actual text of the Canon in good English:

If it happen that the Roman Pontiff renounces his munus, there is required for validity that the renunciation be done freely and manifested duly, but not that it be accepted by anyone whomsoever.

If you do not trust my translation, see the Latin:

Si contingat ut Romanus Pontifex muneri suo renuntiet, ad validitatem requiritur ut renuntiatio libere fiat et rite manifestetur, non vero ut a quopiam acceptetur.

I hope you see the significance of these comparisons.

But Canon 332 §2 does not require the Pope to say, “munus”!

This is becoming a more and more common assertion. My response to it, is, prove your case. For it is a gratuitous assertion.

I do not therefore have to disprove it. But I will disprove it.

In Latin the verb renuntiare means to announce something in a sense contrary to what was previously announced. As such it requires a verbal statement and a complete negation.

Now what did the man who is pope accept which in a renunciation he obviously must negate to make a real renunciation?

Most cannot answer this question with precision, and for that reason they cannot understand the controversy nor evaluate it precisely.

The correct answer to my question is his acceptance of that to which he was elected.

Now, what is that to which a man is elected when in accepting he become the pope?

This second question has to be answered with precision, or else one does not understand the controversy, which is a canonical controversy, not a political, moral, religious, or textual controversy, in its essence.

The correct answer to this, my second question, can only be made by having recourse to the Code of Canon Law to see what is that which a man who is pope has or receives or accepts when he becomes the pope.

Surprisingly, the correct answer is not what you think. In the Code of Canon Law the pope is not called the pope! He is called the Roman Pontiff. See canons 331, 332, 333 and 749 if you do not believe me.

And what is it that he accepts, receives or has to make him the Roman Pontiff?

Again, the answer is not obvious. That is why this controversy is badly understood by many.  The correct answer is the petrine munus. If you do not believe me, see canons 331, 332, 333 and 749, where the word munus is found every time for the papal office.  The Code of Canon Law never calls the office of the pope the “papal office” nor the “papacy”. That is why all those canonists who say that for a valid renunciation a pope needs to signify the renunciation of the papal office are wrong ACCORDING TO THE CURRENT NORMS OF CANON LAW. Before 1983, when the 1917 Code of Canon Law was in force, their opinion was correct. But no longer, because in canon 332 §2, John Paul II added a word to NAME that which the Pope has to renounce: munus.

But Pope Benedict XVI HAS NEVER SAID: I renounce my munus, the petrine munus, or the munus of the Roman Pontiff. Rather, by continually claiming to have the papal dignity he makes it quite clear that he never even intended to renounce that.

Also, from any exhaustive study of the Code of Canon Law, one can see that the word munus does NOT mean ministerium. So even if Canon 332 did not require the pope to say the word munus, it cannot be denied that it required him to renounce that which munus signifies. But ministerium does not signify that. Therefore the renunication is invalid to effect the loss of the munus. And therefore Pope Benedict XVI is still the pope.

All who accept Bergoglio as Pope are in formal schism from Jesus Christ

When we speak of schism, we can speak of two realities, the theological and the factual; of two kinds of failing, the sin and the canonical crime; and of two species of schism: separation from other members of the true Church and separation from the true pope.

In this article I will discuss the precise meaning of the truth that:  All who accept Bergoglio as Pope are in formal schism from Jesus Christ, by explaining those 3 words: accept, formal and schism.

Let us begin with the word: schism.

“Schism”, the English word, is derived from the Greek word meaning a separation by cutting. In theology, it refers to the separation of one part of the Church from another part, or from one part of a community from another part.

In canon law it is the crime of deliberately refusing communion with other members of the true Church. It is punished by immediate excommunication latae sententiae, in canon 1364. Catholics in communion with the true pope, and with all other Catholics who are in communion with him, can never be, thus, guilty of this crime.

Take for example, the Greek Orthodox Churches today. They are in schism from the Catholic Church and from the Popes since 1054. The Patriarch and clergy who started the schism were guilty of the sin and the canonical crime. The schism was first canonical, then theological and then factual. It lead to a schism both from the Church and from the Popes. It was a perfect schism, in the sense that it fulfilled all conditions.

Not every member of the Greek Orthodox Churches today accept that schism. Many of them think it is wrong. Several laymen in the Greek Orthodox Church in America told me the schism exists only among the clergy, the vast majority of the laity wish their clergy would repent of it.

For those laity, the schism remains as factual and canonical, but perhaps no longer theological, because they are moved by Faith to see that it is wrong and they reject it.

The Schism of 2013

In the Catholic Church, we have a major schism also. It began in March of 2013, on March 13, when the College of Cardinals presumed to elect another pope in an illegal conclave. The conclave was objectively and canonically illegal because it convened when there was no legal sede vacante, Pope Benedict XVI not having yet renounced the petrine munus, as Pope John Paul II required in canon 332 §2 of the Code of Canon Law of 1983. The Papal Law on elections, Universi Dominici Gregis, in n. 37, forbids a conclave if there is no legal sede vacante.

Due to the flippancy and presumption of at least some of the College of Cardinals the invalid resignation of Pope Benedict XVI was announced as valid. The rest of the Cardinals, including Cardinals Burke, Sarah, Brandmueller etc.., all proceeded to the Conclave without doing their due diligence or in spite of it.

Now since Canon Law presumes guilt in those who should know the law, the Cardinals are all canonically guilty of the crime of Schism, and in virtue of canon 1364 were excommunicated from the Catholic Church by Pope John Paul II on March 13, 2013.

The rest of us who were deceived by the false announcement, however, did not enter into schism, neither canonically nor as a sin. But by following the false announcement we were factually separated from the true Pope, Pope Benedict, and theologically entered into schism from Jesus Christ, objectively speaking.

It has been seven years, and the Holy Spirit has stirred many souls to speak about the invalid resignation and announce the truth, that Benedict XVI is the true Pope.

The clergy who refuse to examine the facts, when laymen and clergy and now 2 Bishops give testimony to the truth, move from being in de facto schism to canonical schism, because they show a mens rea, a guilty mind. They are guilty because all who are led by the Spirit of God are open to the truth and accept the truth, and they realize that communion with the true Pope is more important than communion with all of the rest of humanity or all of the rest of the clergy.

The ones who knew from the beginning the resignation was invalid, are in perfect schism from Christ, since they are separated from the true Pope and from the true Church, by a personal sin, by canonical penalty, by fact and by theological reality.

Those who still do not know of the schism, are theologically and factually separated from Pope Benedict, since they no longer consider him the true pope, but they are not guilty of the sin or crime of schism, because they honestly think they are in communion with the true pope.

But if we consider schism under the notion of formal and material, then all those who are not duped, but reject the evidence, are in formal schism from Jesus Christ, because they chose to not care to be in communion with the true pope and thus are responsible for risking to be outside of communion with the true pope, even if Benedict is the true pope. That is called a sin in causa. And it is a formal sin of schism, even if it is not a direct sin of schism, as one who examines the facts, sees that Benedict is the true pope, but still rejects him as the pope.

However, of those who think Bergoglio is pope, but who have never refused to examine the evidence, they cannot be said to be in formal schism since they lack ill will and have never formally accepted on that account the big lie that Benedict resigned, even though they think he did resign, basing their opinion on the hearsay that they still have not bothered to examine as unreliable. They are in material schism, that is, de facto schism.

However, as Pope Boniface VIII said in his Bull, Unam Sanctam, all who de facto refuse to be subject to the true pope shall be damned. This is no small thing. And thus, all who belittle the controversy over the renunciation of Pope Benedict are manifestly deceiving themselves and others. And that is a mortal sin against truth and fraternal charity.

I say de facto, because even if you have good will, but are deceived, if you follow Bergoglio you will be led into mortal error and mortal sin: sacrilege, approbation of adultery, approbation of sodomy, etc..
