THESE PRAYERS ARE SAID EACH MIDNIGHT
IN FRONT OF THE BASILICA OF SANTA MARIA MAGGIORE AT ROME
This devotion is inspired by the request made by Our Lady Herself in
Bl. Anne Catherine Emmerich’s Vision of
August 25, 1822: “I know not now how I went to Rome last night, but I found myself near the church of Santa Maria Maggiore. Around it I saw crowds of poor, pious souls, in great distress and anxiety on account of the Pope’s disappearance and the agitation and alarming reports throughout the city. Led by one common impulse, they had come to invoke the Mother of God. They did not expect to find the church open, they intended only to pray outside. But I was inside, I opened the door and they entered, astounded at the door’s opening of itself. I was standing aloof where they could not see me. There was no service, only the chancel-lamps were burning, and the people knelt in quiet prayer. Then the Mother of God appeared. She said that great tribulations were at hand; that the people must pray earnestly with extended arms, if only for the length of three Our Fathers, for it was thus that her Son had prayed for them upon the Cross; that they should rise at midnight to pray thus; that they should continue to come to Her church which they would always find open; and that they should, above all, pray for the extirpation of the Church of Darkness. … I know not whether the people saw the apparition or not, but they must have been impressed by something supernatural for, when the Blessed Virgin said they should pray to God with arms extended, all lifted up their arms … It seemed to be an association of prayer.” From this time Sister Emmerich assisted nightly at the pious exercises at Santa Maria Maggiore. (The Life and Revelations of Ann Catherine Emmerich, Book 2)

This story, which FromRome.Info wrote about last week, has now exploded, with athletes speaking out all over the world. The Corriere della Sera ran a major article today on the topic, by Marco Bonarrigo, entitled, I Giochi Militari di Wuhan a ottobre e il coronavirus: ora il sospetto per tutti quegli atleti malati. Among those who give testimony is the Italian Fencing Athlete, Matteo Tagliariol.
In the video above, he says 50% of all the athletes came down sick. And when news broke in Italy in February, 2020 of the Coronavirus, they spoke together and agreed they might have caught it there.
Here is an English translation of the key part of the Corriere’s report. Bonarrigo, writes:
On the Italian front, the Gazzetta dello Sport Thursday reported the testimony of Matteo Tagliariol, gold in the individual sword in Beijing 2008, one of the 170 Azzurri present at the Military Games. The airman said: “When we arrived in Wuhan we almost all got sick. But the worst was the return home. After a week I had a very high fever, I felt that I wasn’t breathing. The sickness didn’t even go away with antibiotics, I recovered after three weeks and remained debilitated for a long time. Then my son and my partner got sick. When they started talking about the virus, I said to myself: I got it too”. No comments at the moment from military sports groups but no tests have been carried out on the athletes who took part in the expedition. In the meantime, a small controversy has also broken out. “When we arrived in Wuhan, almost everyone got sick. I had a cough, a lot of coughing. Valerio Aspromonte was in bed almost all the time. Many of them had a fever, even if not very high.” So Matteo Tagliariol had told of his arrival in the Chinese town.

Commento di Fra Alexis Bugnolo sul Video di Avvocato Catania
ITALIANO
ENGLISH
The position of Attorney Catania is not that violence should be used, but that peaceful protest will achieve nothing, because the 5 Start Movement have shown themselves wiling to do anything but give up power.
One error in Attorney Catania’s commentary on Pappalardo’s position is that the Attorney holds that the Constitutional court can rule that a law is unconstitutional, but allow its effects to remain, on account of the effects having occurred prior to the judgement of the Court. This position is simply illogical. The court must decide whether something is or is not constitutional. If constitutional, its effects are constitutional. If it is not constitutional, neither are its effects. And if the Court can make the effects of a law which they judge to be NOT constitutional, constitutional or legitimate, then the Court is not a Constitutional Court, it is a sovereign power which can intervene and allow things which run contrary to the constitution. But the Italian Constitution does not give the Constitutional Court the authority of a Leviathon nor of God.
Therefore, when the Constitutional Court in 2014 ruled that the electoral law which was used to elect Parliamentarians in 2013, was unconstitutional, it had no authority to declare that those elected by it could be seated. And hence General Pappalardo is correct that such a parliament had no authority to elect Mattarella President of the Republic, nor issue any laws whatsoever.
The key divide here between Attorney Catania’s position and that of General Pappalardo, is that the General has the natural sense of justice as existing in the objective order, but the Attorney only considers what is just on the basis of laws or sentences of courts, written by men.
If the rights which are named in the Italian Constitution exist independently of the Constitution, then even the highest court must respect them as invioble, and when it does not and hands down a decision which sanctions the effects of an unconstitutional law, then it has enacted a Coup d’etat against the Constitutional Order. And that can only be corrected by the People, who pre-exist the constitution are are its sovereigns.

by Br. Alexis Bugnolo
Christ Jesus, the Eternal Son of God and the Most Perfect and Holiest of men enjoyed the Beatific Vision of God, in His human soul, from the instant of his conception.
For that reason, He knew the entire actual future of the world until the end of time. And He reflected this knowledge in His teachings, even if often it was hidden in such a way as to become visible only when those times would come to pass.
It has ever been the faith of the Church that the words of Christ in the Gospels need to be understood: in reference to our own days. For example, Saint Alphonsus dei Liguori says that Our Lord spent so much time condemning the scribes and pharasees of His own day, because He also knew that theologians and clergy of future ages would need to hear His corrections and reproofs.
The same is the case with the strange and uncatholic situation into which the Church has been cast by the Cardinals in February and Mary of 2013, in their wantonly indiscrete response to the Declaratio of Pope Benedict XVI.
Whatever they thought it meant and whatever Pope Benedict XVI told them in private it meant, the text which he read allowed, and which was published in Latin subsequently in a corrected version, does not fulfill the norm of canon 332 §2.
All the Cardinals at that time, but most especially those with doctorates in Canon Law like Brandmueller and Burke, chose to disrespect the Lord Jesus Christ by acting as they did. They chose to disrespect Him, because He declared and promised to Saint Peter in regard to Canon Law: Whatsoever you bind upon Earth, shall be bound also in Heaven.
They acted instead that what they wanted it to mean or what they thought Benedict wanted it to mean made it mean what is should be regarded by all to mean. But that is not Catholicism. That is the Dictatorship of Relevatism. That is Nominalism. That is Subjectivism. That is Positivism. That is sheer insanity.
So by this great sin against Jesus Christ they cast the Church into schism from Christ through schism from Pope Benedict XVI, by electing an Antipope, whose name deserves not to be mentioned.
Now that Peter Seewald by quoting Benedict XVI himself, has confirmed that Benedict INTENDED TO RETAIN the spiritual mandate of the papal office, it is undeniable that the Cardinals erred in how they acted, even if one can dispute still whether Benedict understood that even he could not intend to split the Papal office such that two persons can hold parts of it.
Our Lord warned us, however, even of this. Because after His great promise to Saint Peter, BUT BEFORE CONFERING THE OFFICE UPON HIM, He foretold His Passion and Death. And Simon, the man, who out of presumption began to exercise the Petrine Ministry, even though he had not received yet the Petrine Munus and Office, presumed to correct Jesus Christ, the Eternal Son of God, saying: God forbid such and such befall you, Lord!
To this presumption, Our Lord acted with the most severe rebuke recorded in the entire New Testament (Mark 8:33): a rebuke so cutting that it is used in the Rituals of Exorcisms:
Seeing that Our Lord knew the whole future, I think we can know explain why Our Lord was so severe in His rebuke of Simon bar Jonahs, and to what His anger may have been principally directed.

Like the Biblical prophets and the great popes of history, Benedict XVI is both hated by the powers of this world and loved by simple Catholic people. And every time that he comes out of his hermitage to speak the truth, he illuminates the darkness of the present situation of humanity and the Church. He is the object of furious attacks – which have been going on ever since his election as pope – that have now come to the point of the distortion of his words and his moral lynching.
This week great controversy has broken out over the anticipation of the release of Ratzinger’s biography written by Peter Seewald, Benedict XVI. Ein Leben, which is being published in German and will appear in Italian [and English] this fall.
In the book, the Pope Emeritus responds to various questions and explains, for example, his dramatic and enigmatic statement in his homily given at the inauguration of his pontificate [on April 24, 2005]: “Pray for me, that I may not flee for fear of the wolves.”
It is a phrase that has taken on enormous significance since February 11, 2013, when Benedict XVI announced his stepping back. What was he alluding to with those words? Is this where we should try to find the reason for his “resignation”? Was he forced to step aside in such a way that it makes that resignation invalid?
And so Pope Benedict, responding to these questions, invites us to reflect on “how much fear can strike a pope.” Many observers – especially after his stepping back – thought that it had to do with the unfortunate episode of Vatileaks, “but the true threat to the Church and thus to the Petrine ministry,” the Pontiff explains, “does not consist in these things but rather in the world dictatorship of apparently humanistic ideologies that oppose anyone who does not conform to the established social consensus. Even one hundred years ago, everyone would have thought it absurd to speak of homosexual marriage. Today those who oppose it are excommunicated from society. Things are similar for abortion and the production of human beings in laboratories. Modern society is formulating an antichristic faith, which you cannot oppose without being punished with excommunication from that society. And thus it is more than natural to have fear of this spiritual power of the Antichrist, and it really takes the prayer of an entire diocese, indeed of the universal Church, to oppose and resist it.”
In these few lines, Ratzinger – as always – manages to condense extraordinary reflections that merit our deep consideration and reflection.
Of course, the Repubblica immediately tried to distort Benedict’s words, reducing his comments to a rant against “abortion” and “gay marriage,” thereby giving the nod to the entire media establishment and unleashing an onslaught on social media against the pope, who has once again been covered in mud. Ironically, by doing this the champions of one-way tolerance immediately proved the truth of Benedict XVI’s words: anyone who does not fall in line with the mainstream is declared to be anathema.
But the Ratzingerian reflection is much more profound. In perfect continuity with the Magisterium of Paul VI and John Paul II, Benedict XVI has spoken once again to denounce the dominant modern ideology that not only is anti-Christian but is also dramatically opposed to human life.
Like Montini and Wojtyla, Ratzinger captures the apocalyptic connotation of the present moment, in particular that of the “dictatorship of relativism” which opposed him during his pontificate and that today holds power, since it is also widespread within the Church.
Benedict XVI is not afraid to speak of the Antichrist, causing many critics who believe they are enlightened and progressive to rise up against him, but ironically by doing so they simply display their ignorance of the many books and philosophical and theological debate on this topic. There are actually many non-Catholic thinkers who have addressed the theme of the Antichrist in recent years. The Marxist philosopher Mario Tronti said in 2013 after the “resignation” that the pontificate of Joseph Ratzinger was “an heroic attempt hold back the post-modern form of the Antichrist.”
Similarly dramatic reflections have been made by Massimo Cacciari (I refer to them in my new book Il Dio Mercato, la Chiesa e l’Anticristo [The God of the Market, the Church, and the Antichrist]). Among other things, Cacciari declares: “We could speculate that Ratzinger resigned because he was no longer able to hold back the antichristic powers within the Church herself.” But now “the Church finds herself facing, for the first time, the true essence of the Antichrist.” Cacciari also published a more philosophical reflection in 2013, Il Potere che frena [The Power that Restrains]. The essay by Giorgio Agamben is also valuable: Il mistero del male (Benedetto XVI e la fine dei tempi) [The Mystery of Evil: Benedict XVI and The End Times].
In light of Benedict XVI’s words – “And thus it is more than natural to have fear of this spiritual power of the Antichrist” – we could well be led to believe that he had to flee “before the wolves,” which would render his “resignation” invalid.
But what sort of “resignation” did he make? As he explained on February 27, 2013, he remains pope “forever” and he preserves his papal name and title.
In my book, The Secret of Benedict XVI (Angelico Press, 2019), I demonstrated that, due to the enormity of the Enemy who was facing him – and since he felt his strength diminishing – Benedict XVI humbly made “a step to the side” in order to make space for someone whom he could assist by his prayer and counsel in the task of being the Kathécon (“the one who restrains” cf. 2 Thess 2:6-7). Thus was opened a new and unprecedented era of “collegiality” in the papacy – unprecedented because it is apocalyptic.
But then the cardinals chose the man who had opposed Ratzinger in 2005, who is now the pope beloved by the worldly powers. And so today Benedict XVI finds himself called mysteriously to a task that only God knows. He remains on a mission from God.

Events like this will convince Italians to stop carrying their identification papers, because undercover agents of the state police (DIGOS) lied to them, asking them for their documents, holding them for an hour, and then fining them 400 euros each for holding an unauthorized grouping — which the government only allows for Marxist political events and crowds who adulate the Prime Minister.

On Monday, March 9, 2020, Italy woke up and found that the Mass had been canceled throughout the entire nation. I reported about this from the Vatican, that morning. It was clear that the decision came from the Vatican. It has been 2 months, that the Faithful were unjustly denied the Sacraments. The news today, however, changes little. Because in many Churches Communion was distributed under the present norms, described below.
And nearly no Catholics went to Church, because they recognize that these measures are ridiculous and irrational, without scientific foundation and without any faith in Jesus Christ as the Creator and Lord of Life.
However, since the present agreement between Church and State allows the pastor to implement them, in many places, this agreement will simply result in a return to normal practice.
For this reason FromRome.Info publishes here an English translation of the Original, from the text published by MarcoTosatti.com.
However, it should be noted, that in Italian law, the Church is sovereign in her own churches, and therefore, the mere signing of this agreement with the State, which has no lawful authority to restrict the mass, is a de facto concession of the entire liberty of the Church, for by it the Church has recognized that the head of the Church in Italy, is the Italian Prime Minister, who has the right to govern the Sacraments and Rituals of the Church inside each Church.
PRESS RELEASE OF THE ITALIAN BISHOPS’ CONFERENCE
The Protocol that will allow the resumption of celebrations with the people was signed this morning at Palazzo Chigi.
The text comes at the end of a process that has seen the collaboration between the Italian Episcopal Conference, the Prime Minister, the Minister of the Interior – specifically the articulations, the Prefect of the Department for Civil Liberties and Immigration, Michele di Bari, and the Head of Cabinet, Alessandro Goracci – and the Technical-Scientific Committee.
In compliance with the health regulations for the containment and management of the epidemiological emergency from SARS-CoV-2, the Protocol indicates some measures to be carefully observed, concerning the access to places of worship during liturgical celebrations; the sanitation of places and objects; the attention to be observed during liturgical celebrations and sacraments; the communication to be prepared for the faithful, as well as some general suggestions.
In preparing the text, the aim was to keep together the requirements of public health protection with indications accessible and usable by every ecclesial community.
The Protocol – signed by the President of the Italian Episcopal Conference, Cardinal Gualtiero Bassetti, the President of the Council, Giuseppe Conte, and the Minister of the Interior, Luciana Lamorgese – will enter into force on Monday 18 May 2020.
“The Protocol is the result of a deep collaboration and synergy between the Government, the Technical-Scientific Committee and the CEI, where everyone has done their part responsibly,” Cardinal Bassetti stressed, reiterating the Church’s commitment to contribute to overcoming the current crisis.
“The security measures provided for in the text – stressed President Conte – express the contents and the most appropriate ways to ensure that the resumption of liturgical celebrations with the people takes place in the safest way. I thank the CEI for the moral and material support it is giving to the entire national community at this difficult time for the country”.
“From the beginning we have worked to achieve this Protocol – concluded Minister Lamorgese -: the work done together has given an excellent result. We have also made a similar commitment with the other religious denominations”.
DEPARTMENT FOR CIVIL LIBERTIES AND IMMIGRATION
TO the Lord Cardinal Gualtiero Bassetti, President of the C.E.I.
SUBJECT: Application of the measures of containment and management of the epidemiological emergency by Covid-19 provided for by the D.P.C.M. 26 April 2020 – Protocol concerning the gradual resumption of liturgical celebrations with the people.
For the profiles of competence, we transmit the united protocol, signed today morning by the President of the Council of Ministers, the President of the Italian Episcopal Conference and the Minister of the Interior, concerning the necessary security measures to comply with, in compliance with the regulations and measures to contain the epidemiological emergency by COVID 19, for the resumption of liturgical celebrations with the people.
Signed, Michele di Bari
For the gradual resumption of liturgical celebrations with the people, this Protocol has as its object the necessary safety measures, to be complied with by Care, in compliance with the health regulations and the measures of containment and management of the epidemiological emergency from SARS-CoV-2,
1.1. Individual access to places of worship must be carried out in such a way as to avoid any assembly both in the building and in the adjoining places, such as sacristies and churchyards.
1.2. In compliance with the regulations on the distance between persons, the legal representative of the entity shall identify the maximum capacity of the worship building, taking into account the minimum safety distance, which must be at least one metre to the side and front.
1.3. Access to the church, in this transitional phase, remains restricted and regulated by volunteers and/or collaborators who – wearing appropriate personal protective equipment, disposable gloves and a clear sign of recognition – facilitate access and exit and monitor the maximum number of admissions allowed. Where the expected participation of the faithful significantly exceeds the maximum number of admissible presences, consideration should be given to increasing the number of liturgical celebrations.
1.4. In order to facilitate orderly access, during which the safety distance of at least one metre must be respected, several entrances should be used, if any, distinguishing between those reserved for entry and those reserved for exit. When entering and leaving the congregation, the doors shall remain open to facilitate a safer flow and prevent doors and handles from being touched.
1.5. Those who enter places of worship for liturgical celebrations are required to wear masks.
1.6. The faithful are reminded that they are not allowed to enter the place of worship in the event of flu/breathing symptoms or in the presence of body temperature equal to or higher than 37,50 C
1.7. The faithful should also be reminded that those who have been in contact with positive people at SARS-CoV-2 in the previous days are not allowed access to the place of celebration.
As far as possible, access for people with disabilities should be facilitated by providing special places for their participation in the celebrations in compliance with current legislation.
1.9. Sanitizing liquids should be made available at the entrances to places of worship.
2.0 – SANITATION OF PLACES AND OBJECTS
2,1. Places of worship, including sacristies, shall be regularly sanitized at the end of each celebration by cleaning the surfaces with suitable detergents having an antiseptic action. Care should also be taken to encourage air exchange.
2.2. At the end of each celebration, the sacred vessels, ampullae and other objects used, as well as the microphones themselves, should be thoroughly disinfected.
2,3. The church’s stoups should continue to be kept empty.
3.0 ATTENTION TO BE OBSERVED IN LITURGICAL CELEBRATIONS
3.1. in order to promote compliance with the distance rules, it is necessary to reduce to a minimum the presence of concelebrants and ministers, who are in any case required to respect the distance provided for in the presbytery.
3.2. The presence of an Organist may be foreseen, but in this phase the Choir is omitted.
3.3. Among the preparatory rites for Communion, the exchange of the Sign of Peace should continue to be omitted.
3.4. The distribution of Communion is to take place after the celebrant and the eventual extraordinary minister have taken care of the hygiene of their hands and worn disposable gloves; the same – wearing the mask, taking care to cover their nose and mouth and maintaining an adequate safety distance – should take care to offer the host without coming into contact with the hands of the faithful.
3.5. The faithful shall ensure that the health distance is respected.
3.6. For hygienic-sanitary reasons, it is not appropriate that in places intended for the faithful there should be singing or other types of aids
3.7. Any offerings are not collected during the celebration, but through special containers, which can be placed at the entrances or in another place deemed suitable.
3.8. The reference to full compliance with the above provisions, relating to the separation and the use of suitable personal protective equipment, also applies to celebrations other than the Eucharistic celebration included in it: Baptism, Marriage, Anointing of the Sick and burials.
3.9. The Sacrament of Penance should be administered in large and airy places, which in turn allow full respect for the measures of separation and confidentiality required by the Sacrament itself. Priest and faithful should always wear the mask.
In the anointing provided for in the administration of the Sacraments of Baptism and the Anointing of the Sick, the minister shall wear, in addition to the mask, disposable gloves.

Five weeks ago an energetic patriot named Alan Hostetter (see above) started the San Clemente Freedom March, the first Lockdown protest march in the country. I was there with 40 people. His vision was for it to grow nationwide and worldwide. Alan lives in San Clemente, a small beach town in Southern California. The following weekend we grew from 40 to 600 with enormous support from local businesses and passing cars enthusiastically tooting their horns in a constant drone of support. Marches popped up in other beach towns like Huntington Beach (thousands), San Diego (2,500) and Sacramento, the Capital of the State of California (20,000). In the video below, a small group of 15 of us tried to attend a San Clemente City Council Meeting but were disallowed entry because of coronavirus fears. So, we gave our “public comments” on video outside the Council Meeting and the video was uploaded to FaceBook which various people have used to organize over 60,000 supporters.
