Pope Francis is occasionally using oxygen, visitors prohibited

Summary and Commentary by Br. Alexis Bugnolo

While many reports are either attacking speculation about Pope Francis’ health, or exaggerating tid-bits of news that various journalists have reported, this report by RAI News, one of the official state channels of the Italian Republic remains substantial, informative and complete. The two new pieces of information are that Pope Francis is breathing on his own without assistance, but does occasionally take some oxygen; and that visitors are prohibited from his room, where he has been confined during his stay, except when he has undergone tests such as a CAT scan of his chest. RAI News also notes that the members of Pope Francis’ medical team have not been named and that security on his floor is light.

In addition, it reports that Cardinal Parolin, the Vatican Secretary of State, on his return from his visit to Burkina Faso, which was scheduled 5 months ago, came to visit Pope Francis yesterday afternoon. This is not unusual, as it is his duty to visit the Pontiff upon returning from any assignments. But it can serve and is serving as material for further speculation.

If Pope Francis has decided to renounce, then it makes sense that he inform his Secretary of State, in person, immediately upon his return from Africa. And seeing that Parolin has been there since Pope Francis went into hospital, if Pope Francis has made any important decisions, Cardinal Parolin would need to be informed as soon as possible. But as the Left Wing Media in Italy are still insisting and shouting that we stop drawing conclusions from such tid-bits of news, we can be sure that something is going on.

Many reports are pushing the narrative that Pope Francis is a workaholic and that without rest he will only get worse, but that it is intolerable for him not to be at his job, in the spot light. And the Vatican spokesman still has given no indications of when or if Pope Francis will return to the Vatican. So he certainly is not showing signs of substantial improvement.

The internet is being flooded, however, by fake news produced by AI like channels which are seeking as much of the attention of Catholics the world over, regarding the Pope. And left wing News Outlets in Italy are offering combative articles with paywalls.

The report from RAI News, however, is noteworthy for not saying what the Italian Prime Minister (official title, President of the Council of Ministers) Giorgia Meloni was doing visiting a patient who should not get visitors and why they talked for 20 minutes in private without witnesses or any report as to the content of their meeting other than to say that they joked. — To my knowledge, there is nothing in Italian law which requires the PM to visit a sick pope. And I do not recall – but you can correct me – that any PM ever visited any Pope in hospital. Certainly, Giorgia Meloni’s visit is being framed like a daughter visiting a father, but since that is not what is going on, speculation is apt to abound about the real reason.

Italian PM Visits Pope Francis, despite polymicrobial pneumonia

Editor’s Note: Something does not make sense. If Pope Francis has a bad case of poly-microbial infection in his lungs, to the point of having pneumonia, why on earth would the head of the Italian government risk infection or infecting him further by a personal visit? Why is he not in an isolation unit? Why has his medical team not been identified?

However, if he is planning to renounce the papal office, it would be de rigeur that he inform the head of the Italian government, a few days beforehand, since in the Italian constitution, the Roman Pontiff, while being the head of a foreign state, is accorded the dignity and respect of a head of government.

In fact, other reports are saying that Giorgia Meloni, the PM, met with Pope Francis in private for 20 minutes. Presumably without medical staff. This also inclines one to think that he is about to announce something important and asked her to keep it secret until he does. She has been the only visitor to see Pope Francis since his hospitalization, outside of his medical staff and private personal staff.

The renunciation of a Roman Pontiff during a Jubilee Year is apt to cause massive crowds of pilgrims and curious tourists to descend upon the Italian capital in a moment’s notice. And this, indeed, is something that out of mutual respect the head of the Vatican City State would want to personally convey to the head of the Italian Government in the most discrete manner possible.

The first sign that this may be the case will undoubtedly be a greater presence of police and Italian armed forces, on the streets of the Capital. FromRome.Info will keep you informed.

Salvini and Meloni to join Pappalardo in Orange Revolution at Rome, on June 2?

by Br. Alexis Bugnolo

Matteo Salivni and Giorgia Meloni have decided to join General Pappalardo in his March on Rome protest, for June 2, 2020, organized by the Gilet Arancioni, the party which the General is now the public leader.

The protest on June 2 is intended to be a sort of Orange Revolution, as it will seek the fall of the entire Government of Giuseppe Conte by bringing to Rome sufficient numbers to intimitate the government into taking flight.

Salvini is the leader of the Lega Party, which has about 60% support in national polls. Melone is the leader of the Fratelli d’Italia party, also among the opposition.

This decision of Salvini and Meloni is a magnitude 7.0 Earthquake in Italian Politics. It means also that Rome will overflow with 100s of thousands of protestors.

This report has  been confirmed by the Corriere della Sera. Though at least one commentator has some doubt that Salvini and Meloni will be organizing events together with the General, though their news release also mentions the same Piazza for their protest: the Piazza del Popolo, a rather small piazza on the norther limit of the ancient walls of Rome, not capable of holding more than 5 thousand.

FromRome.Info will attempt to issue timely reports of the protest, as is possible, on June 2, 2020.

Our medieval ancestors believed that Comets foretold the fall of kings and kingdoms. The Comet SWAN, first identified in April, will be visible over Italy from March 25th onwards:
