Reading 1, First John 2:18-21

      The daily Mass readings were:
      1 John 3:11-21
      Psalm 100:1-2, 3, 4, 5
      John 1:43-51

      The first reading was particularly striking:

      1 John 3:11-21

      11 This is the message which you heard from the beginning, that we must love one another,

      12 not to be like Cain, who was from the Evil One and murdered his brother. And why did he murder his brother? Because his own actions were evil and his brother’s upright.

      13 Do not be surprised, brothers, if the world hates you.

      14 We are well aware that we have passed over from death to life because we love our brothers. Whoever does not love, remains in death.

      15 Anyone who hates his brother is a murderer, and you are well aware that no murderer has eternal life remaining in him.

      16 This is the proof of love, that he laid down his life for us, and we too ought to lay down our lives for our brothers.

      17 If anyone is well-off in worldly possessions and sees his brother in need but closes his heart to him, how can the love of God be remaining in him?

      18 Children, our love must be not just words or mere talk, but something active and genuine.

      19 This will be the proof that we belong to the truth, and it will convince us in his presence,

      20 even if our own feelings condemn us, that God is greater than our feelings and knows all things.

  9. Wow…well, given that i am not a gullible “coincidence theorist”, I can’t possibly believe this to be a coincidence.

    Thanks for posting this. Not that i had any doubt about the matter, but this “coincidence” is still encouraging, edifying and strengthens me.

I think it unwise to put too much emphasis on the ‘Novus Ordo’ texts as these were all cobbled together after Vatican II by freemason “archbishop” Annibale Bugnini & his cabal which included some protestant ministers……and all sanctioned, tragically, by “saint” Paul VI [also a suspected freemason…] then imposed mercilessly upon the worldwide Church in 1969 with the clear intention of suppressing then abrogating the TLM !!

    Rather, we should look to the TLM texts for 31 December which is the 7th day in the Octave of Christmas and also the Commemoration of St Sylvester, Pope & Confessor from 314-335. Under this holy Pope the Church, after three hundred years of persecution, begins to enjoy liberty, and spreads in the Roman Empire; and within which, at the Council of Nicaea [325] establishes against the heretic Arius the doctrine of the eternal Divinity of the Saviour.

    The appropriate Holy Mass for St Sylvester is ‘Si diligis me’, the Common of One or Several Holy Popes and I give the scriptural references below – they are most profoundly appropriate:-
    Introit – John 21: 15-17
    Epistle – 1 Peter 5: 1-4, 10-11
    Gradual – Psalm 106: 32, 31
    Gospel – St Matthew 16: 13-19
    Offertory – Jeremias 1: 9-10
    Communion – St Matthew 16: 18

      And the fact that they give a clear warning of and against antichrists and Cains is actually even more powerful testimony, proving that God had foreseen what would happen and had “checkmated” the plotters long before their schemes were hatched.
