Counterfeit Carmel?

The accusations make it clear that this place is a cult, not a Catholic Monastery.

  1. This place has a lot of red flags, but, the most egregious, to me, is the way they tout how “manly” they are. Real men have no need to tout their masculinity. It is obvious by way they act. Beyond that, the fact that a senior brother would host novices in his private quarters is bad enough. That it would be done immodestly is immediate grounds to force the closure of the place, in my opinion.
